Nashville here. We're blue surrounded by red like most southern cities so the most I've seen is a Trump sticker here and there.

Lived in Ohio. Never saw a MAGA hat but my neighbor's truck had lock her up bumper stickers. I lived in a suburb of Columbus. So glad I moved to California the following year.

In fairness the husband and son were total dipshits who tried to threaten me into cutting down my trees because the needles went in their pool. The mom and daughter were always very sweet to us. They brought over banana bread and some gifts when our daughter was born.

I see bumper stickers for Trump a good bit around here in Mississippi. I'm not one to do that, but some people are more vocal than others.

Edit: As far as hats go, no, I don't see them.

Hah, I live in San Antonio. More often than not, people are either pro-Trump Or at least Trump apologists.

Hell, I moved in with old friends from high school last year and found a Trump flag in the living room. Surprise surprise they were racist shitheads who I once overheard say I like Monkeys (girl i was seeing was black) and Jungle music (RnB/Rap) when they didn't hear me come thru the front door. That's only the tip of the iceberg, and can't believe I stayed there for 6 months. My mental health still hasn't recovered.

In my anecdotal experience, there are Trump supporters literally everywhere, you just have to get to know them a little before they blurt out their dumb opinions. I have like 140 entry level employees that I directly supervise in a solid blue state, and probably a good 40% of them are either full on Trump supporters or are tacitly approving moderates, but you wouldn't know this from outwardly looking at them until you ask them about the way of the world in an open and candid manner for a good 15 minutes each.

Do not assume that minorities are liberal by default either, I have anecdotally met black, hispanic and asian Trump supporters, and know many personally. Hell, I have one employee who is black and female and a Trump supporter at the same time, a demographic otherwise considered to be wholly liberal. Unless someone is decidedly and actively liberal, Americans generally house a lot of conservative views by default from the manipulated discourse of our current era.

I live in a suburb of Seattle and have only seen 1 MAGA hat in Bellevue worn by some older white guy who was also wearing an anti Hillary shirt. I've also seen one Trump bumper sticker on 405 between Bellevue/Bothell area. But that's been it since this whole mess started.

I live in Austin, TX, which is definitely a liberal bubble as well. I'm not sure I've ever actually met someone who supports Trump. I probably have without realizing it, but it's definitely a strong liberal lean.

ResetEra is the site I visit most, and this place is by far the most liberal setting I've ever been in, sometimes pushing it to extremes.

I feel kinda bad because I don't think that I actually am having a positive influence on anyone when everyone I know is liberal anyways, but that's just the way it is at the moment.

It is indeed a liberal site. I am conservative but I still listen to people on this forum out of respect.

But yep there are conservative bubbles as much as there are liberal. But always a few out there who are different.

To be honest, more than you might think. (In regards to either side)

Im from bay area and it is pretty damn liberal but there are conservatives as well which is fine by me. I am cool with traditional conservatives not this new age alt-right stuff. Hardcore Trumpers are the worst and have twisted conservative values into hate. There's no place for hate.

Come over to eastern Washington. Spokane is Trump country. I went to the park in cour d Arlene ID for 4th of July and it was Trump shirts and Hillary for prison shirts everywhere.

I love living here but hate the people.

Yeah Spokane definitely has a conservative slant, north Idaho even more so. At least the Neo Nazi parade doesn't go on in CDA anymore.

I've only seen two of the hats here though. Both times at the museum, one was on a teenager who didn't look old enough to vote, and the other was on an old guy.

I don't live in Seattle, live about 20 miles south where it's still liberal but not Seattle liberal, and I've seen one crappy truck with a Trump sticker back during election, and one really old guy at a pharmacy wearing a Trump hat. That's basically it.

Seattle, and Washington in general is getting more liberal, not less.

The whole "tech bro" thnig is so overblown.

It's the old codgy dudes working at Boeing and whatnot that are conservative.

Yeah, I've yet to run into a Trump supporting tech bro, seen some bernie bros but that's really it.

I live in San Diego (which is very republican) and I've never seen a MAGA hat.
I live in the east county and have seen one younger guy wearing a Maga hat in a predominantly middle eastern area during the travel ban, lets just say it didn't go too well for him. Also saw my first couple of southern flags in my life along with two nooses. One on some guys trucks tow hitch who was yelling at me to go back home in a carl Jr's parking lot. Pissed him off when I told him I was home and the other was on a tree in a park where mostly homeless peope hang out. I do occasionally see bumper stickers and they're always on old junkers or lifted trucks.

I was in DC recently doing touristy stuff and saw people with hats and tshirts everywhere. In one of the museums on the mall there was a group of middle schoolers and it was a fucking sea of red. Very disconcerting...

I live in the Inland Empire, Ca and have never seen a MAGA hat. I have seen signs in lawns. I have also seen a few white people on a corner with honk for Trump and lock her up signs. Nobody honked.

I mean along the way to those places.

I mean, yeah... I imagine if you stop in fucking Umatilla or Roseburg you'll see some MAGA action.

bullshit I've lived in portland awhile now and I've yet to see a single Maga hat or trump sticker

I saw someone wearing a MAGA hat in the middle of downtown Seattle four days ago.

shrug

Dude I saw two MAGA chuds walking around St. John's just yesterday. They're out here, even in our relative liberal bubbles like Puget Sound and Portland.

That's some risky shit.

Out in St. John's, too? No way those guys live there. I'm gonna go ahead and give St. Helens the L for those two.

Here in Ohio the Hicks still have trump/pence signs in the front yard from the election. I have seen very few MAGA hats.

I used to live in Seattle and never saw a MAGA hat in the flesh.

However, just before the elections I took a plane to Indiana to visit my parents, and I immediately spotted a young man carrying one when I arrived.

It was eye opening, but I should have expected it. The Midwest is Trump country.

MAGA hats aren't common where I live either, and half my state went for Trump. You see more bumper stickers than anything else. Every once and a while, out in the woods, you'll drive by a house that has some sort of monument to Trump up - like a giant handmade sign that says "DRAIN THE SWAMP."

I don't believe that people who wear MAGA hats are doing so casually. It's not "just a hat." At least, that's not how I would perceive it around here. I think they wear them to remind other people who is in charge. I think they wear them because it makes them feel powerful. I think they know it will make people upset and that's why they go out of their way to do it. It stands to reason that, in placed they know they are outnumbered, they would be less inclined to send those signals. But for others that might actually be a stronger incentive to do so. That would explain their rarity in places where we live.

I don't know how it varies regionally. I don't see them often.

Sometimes I feel like... say I'm out in the sticks and I know the demographic is more than likely slimy (and from personal experience, bigoted fucks) then I won't wear things that may incite confrontation. So, why not the other way around? I know for a fact super right leaning trash bag people feel more emboldened to wear their hatred on their sleeves, but I figure a chunk of those folks don't want to call attention to themselves either and are closeted outside of their element. So, when I think of bubbles, I'm going to say it's kind of wearing blinders to what the real numbers probably are. I'd definitely take something that feels like a bubble over constantly being paranoid, though.

I live in a district that swung hard for Trump, but I've never seen a hat... but stickers and shit? a few.

Had some confederate flags pop up too. also during the election, a pick up truck with a massive TRUMP flag flying from it.

Embarrassing shit.

I have never seen a MAGA hat being worn IRL, nor have I ever seen a Trump sticker on a car (but have seen plenty of Bernie and Hillary stickers) or other signs on display.

I do know a few people who voted for Trump via private conversations, but I haven't seen anyone outwardly supporting Trump in the public environment.

I live in lynnwood/Everett (for those not in the area just north of Seattle). I've seen trump stickers. And even some one wearing a infowars shirt. I wish seattle's liberal bubble extended outside it.

I live in Missouri and I have never seen a MAGA hat but I have seen a bunch of Trump signs. Very rarely in the Metro areas but if you go further out.. things get scary quickly with how much of the houses are decorated with them. They also tend to have confederate flags decorated somewhere on their house.

live in Houston city limits but work outside so in the political spectrum it's living in limbo

at work there were trump signs and bumper stickers, some locals obviously elated after election day. but i dunno, reading stuff from people who live in deep blue states you'd think places like this are a hellhole hick dystopia but it's basically your run of the mill upper-middle class suburbia and Trump is for the most part another "R" column they they vote under like any other election

Plenty in DC and it's probably the most liberal city in the country. Makes sense for DC or NYC to have people wearing them at times. They are not residents and it's mainly tourist and school kids on field trips buying them.

Both are heavily touristy cities with tons of school trips on a daily basis from all over the country. Street vendors will sell any type of merchandise to kids coming from rural areas regardless if it's Trump merchandise. If it has potential to sell they carry it. Also most of the gift shops carry political items in DC regardless of who is the president. You can purchase random merchandise for any government branch it seems.

Yep. bubble my friend. I see maga hats, bumper stickets, flags and signs (like 2016 hasn't ended) hell even some moron that rides around in a big ass white van with barbed wire attached to the sides and signs that say "build that wall" and "get em outt here" along with other hateful shit.

Then again I live in Indiana and folks around here seem to have an equal brain cell to missing teeth ratio.

NJ.

I travel all over the tri-state area for my job too.

Never seen a MAGA hat.

Saw a lot of Trump stuff like signs/stickers around the election.

Almost no Hillary stuff.

Some Bernie bumper stickers.

____

There is also an infinite amount of Blue Stripe American Flags outside peoples houses & stickers on vehicles.

Columbus, OH
From eastern KY and live in Columbus, OH.

Back home, there's a much higher concentration of Trump signage. My dad's neighbor has a Trump 2020 flag hanging below their American flag, two yard signs: one which reads "ALL POLITICIANS ARE LIARS!!!" and the other says "Blue Lives Matter = *thumbs up* Sanctuary Cities = *thumbs down*".

Here in Columbus I've seen a few Trump signs on cars. My favorite ever was a guy wearing a MAGA hat with embroided flames down the sides.

North Florida here. I see tons of Trump bumper stickers daily. Also regularly see lifted pickup trucks that drive around with giant Trump flags out the back atleast once a week minimum.

Have seen a MAGA hat three times. Once at a pool bar a group of teenagers came in to play pool, the kid couldn't have been older than 14.

Second time was actually when I went to Minneapolis. Went to a fairly large sports bar and a guy was at the bar with his hat on sitting by himself having a drink.

Last time was in NYC around Thanksgiving. I was walking around Trump building near Wall Street and some guy took a Trump hat out of a backpack and had his friend take a picture with him wearing it in front of the building. After the pic he took the hat off, put it back into his backpack and left.

I live in Atlanta which is very blue so I rarely see anything other than an occasional Trump bumper sticker.

Get out side the perimeter and that changes pretty quickly with a lot more Bumper stickers, yard signs for the to GOP governor candidates who are both Trump supporters etc. since GA is such a red state outside of ATL and a couple other blue pockets. I've not seen a MAGA hat in person yet though.

Go east or south a bit. I drive to Richland and Portland a lot and you'll see plenty.

I went to Seattle last month. Felt very much like the bubble we have in the Boston area. On the trip to Portland, I just saw gross bumper stickers left and right and the Uncle Sam billboard.

I've only ever seen teenagers wearing them. Which makes sense, you'd have to be an edgy teen with zero common sense to wear something like that.
