Hey CommandThrower I have a question if you don't mind answering.

I have a friend with a stutter, and sometimes when he gets stuck on a word I'll finish it for him. Does this come off as rude or annoying to you? I try not to do it all the time but if I know what he's trying to say I'll help him out with it. He hasn't said anything about it to me, but I'd just like a second opinion on this.

The cynic in me is worried about some potential fallout on the employee for breaking some policy on commenting on people's disabilities. =(

That was a very sweet thing to say though.

ninja edit: in b4 concern trolling.

Hey CommandThrower I have a question if you don't mind answering.

I have a friend with a stutter, and sometimes when he gets stuck on a word I'll finish it for him. Does this come off as rude or annoying to you? Having people finish my sentences during a stutter is annoying sometimes. I found it a lot more annoying in my youth, but I've really mellowed out now that I'm older(I'm 29). I will say that it's more annoying if it's done by somebody who I don't know very well. I had a co-worker of mine speak to me as if I was a child once during a stutter, saying things like "Does the word begin with the letter D?".

If it's done by a friend, then I'm much more appreciative of them trying to help since they're much more likely to know I have a stutter in the first place.

I'd personally just ask him directly if it bothers him or not. If your friend requests that you let him get past his stutter on his own, then let him get past it.

You should write back that you are super impressed the person is able to write so cleanly on a napkin, the few times I have tried I always end up tearing the napkin up :(

Very nice choice of hot sauce by the way and just a nice story

This is super sweet of them.

When I meet people who have stutters, I give them all the time they need to get to their point, but I always wish I could do something to help them. Not like, finish their sentences or something, that's shitty. I just sympathize with the struggle, I guess, and I wish I could help make it easier.
