I mean I'm not a fan of the Russian side either (politics aside, the Canadian in me refuses to root for them and from what I have seen of them in the knockout phase, they are not a fun side to watch) but this isn't Korea 2002 here. I feel like people haven't actually watched Croatia aside from that Argentina match. They've really not been as good as some are making them out to be.

The olympics is almost entire individual events where its about taking PEDs to improve your ability. Buying off a judge is quite hard as very little is subjective.

I don't understand why people expect Croatia to play like France or something. It's not like they are some certain favourites that everybody expected to reach the final even before the tournament started.
They are a very strong team, but they won't ever go all guns out blazing in a game, especially a decisive one. They don't have that mentality. You get that only after many years of continuously winning or performing well in competitions. Every step forward in this WC is a great achievement for them. They reached semifinals only once before.
