I guess i'll post my survival kite build here

Charms:
  • Quick focus
  • Grubsong
  • Shape of Unn
  • Weaversong (these guys help a lot!!)
  • Spore shroom
  • Defender's crest (for a big fat fart cloud in combo with spore shroom when healing)
I found quick focus a real helper for boss battles. I have almost finished the main game with this setup, i know there's more powerful ones for more damage and it's pretty much strongly suggested for some of the toughest battles, but this setup can get you far.

Shape of Unn + Quick focus + spore shroom + defender's crest.

You're basically moving fast around dodging most attacks while healing and thus leaving HUGE fart bubbles around for the enemy to get damaged in.

The weaversong critters will constantly damage the boss while you run/heal/jump whatever. It's not much damage but it adds up over time.

I beat traitor lord with Quick focus, Deepfocus and Shape of Unn. (maybe some other charm i can't recall) Very important to heal for those hard hitting 2 dmg per hit bosses.

I like this build idea quite a lot. Still need to find some of these charms.

Post other useful build ideas please.

Get the charm that draws money to you. That, the quill and the compass should be the first items bought.

Also, you can save by quitting. If low on health and you have charms than can be broken or don't want to lose a ton of cash in an area that is hard to get back to just quit and it will save to the last bench.

This is a golden tip alright, I can't tell you how many times I have to tell my family "HANG ON I GOTTA SAVE AT A BENCH FIRST" and I have no idea how to get to a damn bench.

The soul warrior mini-boss was absolutely kicking my nuts in. I easily fought him 20+ times. Anyone else have issues?

in the same token as not selling the trinkets unless you need the cash immediately, don't collect the grub rewards until you need the cash.

Any suggestions on how to tackle Deepnest. Just entered and got lost immediately.

When The Radiance appears, spam up+A. You should get a couple of these in, and you'll get to the spike phase nearly immediately.

The laser and down-sword attack are invitations to heal. The only move that's really hard to dodge is the side-sword attack, and there are ALWAYS four until the platform phase. So as long as you don't dash on the fourth, you'll be able to dodge any light pillars.

The platform phase is easier, because the side-swords only come in two waves.

Once you're made to start ascending, you're done. The lasers are easy to dodge. Just smack her once and it's over.
