Moments of Triumph

Starting right now, Moments of Triumph for Destiny 2 are available on Bungie.net! From now through August 28, 2018, players are invited to complete various in-game objectives to earn progress toward Triumph Points, which will unlock unique rewards.
What's available today is just a taste of what's to come with the Solstice of Heroes event, which will expand the list of Triumphs and rewards that players may earn. The complete list of Triumphs will become available in-game starting on July 31, 2018.
Some of the hardcore veterans among you may have already done everything there is to do thus far, but some of you might have some progress to make in the next few weeks.

When Solstice of Heroes begins, Triumphs will become available in-game that track your progress towards Moments of Triumph. As you complete these Triumphs, they will increase your score, which will unlock certain rewards at different point thresholds.
Here is the breakdown of rewards for crossing each point threshold:
  • Complete any Triumph – Get your tracking emblem for Moments of Triumph
    • This emblem will show total Triumph Points earned
  • 125 points – Get the Right Choice, a Legendary Ghost Shell
  • 250 points – The Solstice of Heroes Moments of Triumph T-shirt offer becomes available
  • 300 points – Get Comrades in Arms, a Legendary Sparrow
  • 400 points (all) – Get the Eternally Triumphant emblem upgrade

The Solstice of Heroes Moments of Triumph T-shirt redemption page is live now, but you won't be able to secure your code until Solstice of Heroes begins on July 31, 2018. After you complete enough Triumphs in Destiny 2 to reach a score of 250, you can go to the Moments of Triumph page on Bungie.net to retrieve the code you will need to purchase your customizable T-shirt.

These are not the only rewards you can earn during the Solstice of Heroes. We'll have more specifics on that leading up to the event. Stay tuned to the blog on July 17, 2018, for more details.

Back to the strike playlist it is then, damn.

I wonder if any of these are retroactive.

OP: I believe you will earn Valor in Competitive as well after the next update.

175/400. Not really interested in any of those rewards. My sparrows are much better looking than that one.

Nice. I'm that one asshole who looks for any excuse to boot up the damn game.

EDIT: never mind. That's a shitload of busy work. Time to go play something else.

I'm at 125 but I have several that are close to being completed. Not bad for only coming back to the game last month after like 6 months away. The Valor one is going to be a pain in the ass though, might have to grind some this weekend while the 3x event is going.

I'm at 195, only need about 300 valor points and then getting all region chests to currently max out, should be done this weekend.

Tempting but after I decided to skip the last faction ralley due to basically only ever playing Destiny to grind things, I've decided to just cut off entirely. Plus knowing due to the franchises decision to continue to make new titles every few years instead of just building into their existing platform. It's hard to care about cosmetic items that require extensive grinding only to be lost year later.

We don't actually know how Destiny 3 will work yet. Hopefully they realize that a fresh start was a bad decision for D2 given how much they are fixing and reversing.

Hopefully it is built in a way where players can bring forward their loot even if we start from level 1 again.

You need a code to pay them $25 for a shirt? Lmao.
Nah I quite like it personally. Their shirts are good quality, bit goes to charity and it gives those who play a fair amount an additional option to show off their progress outside of the game. I have the one from D1 for doing all three years of triumphs and had a few people query me IRL about it. Last of which was only a couple of weeks ago from the guy in the Apple store when I bought my new iPad.

Just something a bit different for those into the game a fair bit. Will be getting this one for sure.

I keep thinking they will add this in. It's a no brainer.

Notice how the raids are barely any points like they don't even matter. Basically how Bungie treated them in D2 when they were a focus point in D1. D2 raids are a huge disappointment for me so far.

Bungie day is just not the same anymore. Remember in halo 3 when we had Bungie vs the world and actual new maps? Man this stuff is so shite in comparison. Kinda wish destiny never happened and Bungie never sold halo.

I want to get rank 50 with vanguard but it'll be quite a grind. Only reached 30. I want the Zavala ship so that's motivating.

Same, I'm at 21 right now. Hopefully when they up the drop rate for strike catalysts that'll be more of a motivation to do them cause right now I can only do a few heroics at a time before I just get bored.

Well this is just ridiculous as they didn't want to do Halo anymore.

Maybe so but everything since Destiny has made the community incredibly worse. I dont hate Destiny and in fact I love it but it isn't the same as when Bungie owned halo. I feel like that legacy is long gone and even old Bungie members like myself are treated equally to the kids starting destiny. There is no old guard anymore or legacy. Bungie day uses to have exclusive playlists in Halo 3. Hell, you could have earned recon armour, flaming head chestpiece, etc. It was so exciting to play multiplayer in hopes of finding Bungie. Then there was Bungie day on Reach where you could get blue flames if you were part of the legacy of halo.

Bungie Day was definitely something incredible during the Halo Era. I remember we were all waiting each year for that sweet 7 on 7, as you said, we had exclusive playlist, some free content, a chance to earn something unique.

With Destiny, it's not the same hype, I think due to the loot aspect of the game, earning something unique isn't more rewarding than anything else since the game is about unlocking stuff. And even, Bungie doesn't feel as much invested with this day as they were in the past when they were less than 120 people. Things are clearly different when the company grow over 900 members, you can't have the same kind of tradition than when your studio was like a big family.

Glad they are still doing something ofc, but it doesn't feel as unique as it was in the past. I'm glad we had the opportunity to know that when we were teenager. ^^

Mayhem + 3x Valor made this grind pretty fun. Just got my 2nd reset the ghost shell (2000 Valor per reset) and I started out at maybe 1500 Valor this weekend. It'll take a number of hours still, but not as bad without the 3x buff.

It's funny how everything was somehow better when you were a kid isn't it.

Great to see them do this again!
I own the previous 2 , Destiny 1 shirts. They're good quality. Worth it, IMHO.

I'm out of Destiny 2 for good, tho. :(

Just when I thought I was out...

Seriously though, it never takes much to twist my arm and convince me to get back into Destiny. When I take a break, I always want to come back.

That Bungie gunplay.
