We still don't get sacrifice on consoles right?
There is no way they can make cross anything if it remains this way.

There will likely never be cross-anything, yeah. DE likes to be able to push out updates on PC whenever they want, and the certification requirements the console holders have prevent them from doing the same thing for the console versions. They need to wait to pass cert for the console updates, which generally results in a lag of about a month and a half to three months between PC content updates and console content updates, and generally console ports get larger updates including a bunch of PC hotfixes and updates at once while PC's are more frequent but less substantial.

It's just not realistic to expect crossplay or cross-progression because of the gap between the versions.

Sacrifice came out 2 days ago on console.

Great. Didn't know it already came out.

Yea DE push out updates and fixes like crazy. I don't think they can do any better on consoles.

This looks heavily downgraded but in this case it might not be a bad thing since all the effects in the original game were a bit overkill sometimes.

Still confused who this is for since always online games don't mesh with the concept of the Switch at all and if I got that right you can't use your existing accounts.

Yeah I'm not about to judge this on an early trailer. All of Panic Button's ports look better in their final version, and even post launch compared to their initial footage. Like said that actual footage of it being on the Switch look better then the trailer. I also really think that trailer was slowed down in parts on purpose.

That said 30fps, maybe unlocked in some areas like on the orbiter, is certainly what people should look forward to. Gyro shouldn't be to hard if they do it. That's just a control input. Graphically is going to be interesting. There is a LOT of reused assets in Warframe when you're on missions from locations to enemies. So how that factors into things is going to be interesting.

I will say though, while I sorta expected Warframe to come to the Switch at some point, I expected another loot-based online hack 'n' slash to make its way to the system first.

Looking at you, Diablo 3.
Last month: Blizzard naps and Hi-Rez takes the money they leave on the table.

This month: Bungie naps and DE takes the money they leave on the table.

Who's next?

Next Panic Button project: Overwatch.

Come ooon.

I doubt Blizzard would outsource the port. That said, every week that passes without them announcing Overwatch or Diablo 3 for the system makes them look dumber.

Doom, Wolf 2, Rocket League, Paladins, Fortnite and Warframe are showing that the system is 1) capable of handling demanding games, 2) proving to be a good home for online-focused games, including Overwatch's most direct competitor.

Honestly, if Blizzard doesn't announce anything for Switch at BlizzCon 2018 I'll be shocked.

You realize that Splatoon 2 is basically a online only game and sold over 6m copies on Switch.

The concept of the Switch is to play anywhere and that included at home, in your bed or if the TV is taken by another person.

There's never been cross-progression, so that's really not a surprise. But yeah, anyone who's put a substantial amount of time into Warframe on any other platform will probably not want to jump in here. The re-work required to get caught up would be astronomical. Not to mention some of the vaulted gear you'd lose is literally irreplaceable.

Like my Arcane Rhino Vanguard Helmet.

Yeah, see that's a shame I've forgone many of life's important events (job interviews, weddings, baby showers and even jury duty) to spend time with my Tenno unraveling the mysteries of the world as it stands during the Orokin era. Life can be turbulent but I've found no greater peace than inside my Warframe. Knowing it was coming to the Switch I was elated considering I'm nomadic and for some reason never have the opportunity to play games unless I'm commuting wherever life takes me. I was then immediately crushed upon hearing my Tenno would not be joining me on those very travels.

I know it's because the versions are out of sync, but is it possible there is anything the devs can do? Can we at the very least come up with something to highlight just how important crossplay/cross-progression is to us? Maybe some sort of hashtag.

Is this the big title that was mentioned earlier that Panic Button worked on? Or do they have more projects going?

Good thing I never started the PS4 version like I kept saying I would. Don't want a Fortnite situation to fall in my lap.
I dont think the game allows cross progression on other platforms, so playing it on PS4, PC or Xbox One before probably wouldnt matter in this case. I dont think the Switch will be an exception to this.

Does anyone have a link to any gameplay footage other than on the trailer? It looked a bit rough there in some areas, yet beautiful in others? Hopefully this gets all the content of the other versions as well and with reasonable visual sacrifices.

I expect this to run really bad, without out internet it can't be played either so I don't quite get the point of this except for people who don't have PC's or consoles. will be nice to play in bed I suppose.

WHAT.
Always wanted to try it on PC but I'll admit I was lazy to download it, I guess this is a perfect occasion to do so on Switch.

Gyro is 99% in, Panic Button knows their audience. DOOM had it patched in after release and Wolf 2 shipped with it.

Splatoon 2 had a single player campaign and that's the only reason I even played the game outside of my house...

Having Diablo 3 on a handheld sounds like actual crack cocaine in videogame form.

Yeah, I always wanted a good Hack and Slash game on Vita, but outside of a shitty port of mobile Dungeon Alliance we didn't get anything. But there were some good HnS games on PSP like Dungeon Siege which was superb for me at a time and very addicting because I had someone to play with. Handhelds are great for this type of games. Switch deserves something like Diablo.

No need to limit it to Blizzard, there are a lot of Western developers looking dumb for not getting their biggest games on the Switch already — WB/Neverealm, Rockstar, Blizzard, Activision, EA... (though I still think a few of them have stuff in the wings)

For the millionth time, the game never had cross play. The versions are out of sync, so it's unlikely to happen.

Does the PC version support gyro natively or do you use custom controls through Steam?

And Overwatch on the Switch is such a no-brainer. It needs to happen.

No, it was a custom Steam Controller profile I downloaded.

Was there any talk of cross progression?

Also nobody should expect a technical showcase just get it running portable at a solid framerate please

This. At the very least I expected a Diablo 3 announcement given it already released on consoles and it's an idea type game for portable play in addition to home play. We have games like Titan Quest and Victor Vran getting there first as well.

If we see nothing at Blizzcon then that's it. It made complete sense for the Switch version of Warframe to reveal at Tennocon 2018. It makes sense for Blizzard to wait for Blizzcon to announce something. Same with Bethseda at QuakeCon if they have anything else new coming soon. However if Bethseda doesn't say anything I'm not going to freak out cause they have games on the systems and it stands to reason more will come but not all of them that they make. I think this is the last option for Blizzard though when it comes to Hearthstone, Overwatch, and Diablo. They're not coming if there is no announcement and I feel comfortable saying that now. Paladins, Crazy Justice, etc will have Overwatch's spot. Elder Scroll Legends will have Hearthstone's spot and many other games, including Warframe will have whatever piece of the pie Diablo would have gotten.
