I remember in middle school when a bunch of kids were suspended for throwing rocks at a muslim woman walking by with a stroller. Y'know, for the lulz! This didn't at all leave a mark on every brown kid who went to school with these people. It clearly meant nothing!

It's arguably more important to talk to a younger person about wearing a MAGA hat than an old fart. Old fart is a lost cause but a younger person you can possibly convince that shit isn't cool.

Half the fucking tourists on The Mall wear dumbass flavor-of-the-week AMERICA shit, it just so happens America's flavor currently is Trump. It's frustrating, to say the least. I don't like hanging out on The Mall for a variety of reasons, but the influx of Trump shit has definitely made me avoid the area almost entirely since he's been in office.

I guess it depends on the community. I knew so many kids who were assholes at 14, but had totally chilled out by 18, and I think it's because bullies just weren't popular in my school, and nice kids were.
Millennials grew up jamming to a guy who bragged about hating gays and lesbians, and yet are the most tolerant generation to date. I have faith in Gen Z, though I'm certainly not expecting them to save the planet or anything.
