Hitting a guy without his aura in attack mode with a full force nen punch, they could actually do the job if they can get in position and give Gon enough time to charge up.

Yea. No matter how strong you are, a full force Nen punch to the vitals (when you're completely off-guard) is going to deal a huge amount of damage. Even if they don't get the kill, it would probably weaken the king enough for someone else to finish the job.
