Not sure if this has been posted, but Massivelyop asked about Crossplay/Crossprogression:

Holy shit that's awesome. I like that they are very interested in strong links between PC and switch. Being able to play on PC at home then go away and carry on with Switch would be incredible!

Last time I tried Warframe on my base PS4 the frame rate was pretty bad. Has it been improved? It would be cool to play on the Switch but I can't see it performing even remotely well. Would love to be surprised though.

The bad news is that it'll never be 60fps on switch. The good news is that panic button seems confident enough to put a game on switch that doesn't have much overhead on the twin consoles.
Wolfenstein was already more or less in that case when compared to the xbox version which if I recall runs often in the 50-ish fps.

Nice! I was thinking only a few days ago how cool it would be if it came with Switch.

Shame I won't be able to play co-op with my best mate though, as he plays on PS4.

I see no benefit to buying Panic Button. They'll make Switch ports regardless of whether Nintendo owns them and if Nintendo had a first party port studio then what precedent would that set for encouraging third parties to port their games to Switch? Would many of them expect Nintendo (Panic Button) to do it?

These guys are in a great position right now and don't need to be bought.

I don't really have an interest in these kinds of online only games (art style is a bit too teenage angsty as well imo), but it's really cool that these kinds of games are suddenly coming to a Nintendo system all the same. N64 was a long time ago.

The more I rewatch this trailer the more easier it is to tell what is pre-rendered footage, and where the gameplay footage takes over... there is a noticeable drop in frame-rate and details compared tot he more detailed pre-rendered footage which is still in a lower resolution... in fact the whole trailer is in 720p, and not even 60fps... just 720p... so you know... this game is gonna struggle.

I'll still check it out cuz it's F2P... but hopefully the game still has time to be further optimized and is not releasing in say... a month or whatever

Looks like Nintendo is letting 3rd parties to announce things as they see fit instead of forcing everything in E3

Normally I would be interested in this coming Switch. But my Switch has absolutely dreadful WiFi connectivity in handheld mode, so always online games are pretty much a no go.

Nice, will try it when it comes out. Was interested with the MMO like world patch.

oh snap

how accounts gonna work? Would love to take my PC account there, since I know that isn't happening on PS4 ever.

Aye lol, a new Sony exclusive. Your Warframe account.

Jokes aside, cross progression would be awesome. Maybe even cross play with PC/X1?

It's not exclusive to Sony anywhere. It's just a de-facto exclusive because nobody in Japan would buy it on anything but Playstation.
Please don't share misinformation.
MHW is absolutely a PS4 exclusive in Asia, and not because nobody would buy it elsewhere. It's literally the only multiplat Capcom game not being on X1 in japan (even Okami is on there), and the PC version would sell well in the rest of Asia (there won't be a pc version sold in asia).

Not really. It's a very intensive game. My old laptop, which is a lot stronger than Switch, struggles with it.
That is weird, the required specs should really be updated then. The game seems to require a system stronger than one that is needed to run fallout New Vegas. They need to update that as I thought Steam is going to stop officially supporting XP and Vista.

Looks fun!
What engine is it running on?
I imagine it's 60 fps on PC/PS4 and we can expect 30 fps with reduced visuals on Switch?
Hoping the resolution is decent in portable mode.

Just announced at Tennocon.

Hey OP, please update with this news bit:

Not sure if this has been posted, but Massivelyop asked about Crossplay/Crossprogression:

I asked Creative Director Steve Sinclair about the possibility of crossplay or one time transfer between platforms for those who want to play on the Switch. Sinclair told me that it won't be possible for the PlayStation 4, but it could possibly be worked out for the XBox, and it would be a breeze for the PC. He continued by saying that he was very interested in looking into making it so players cold seamlessly move between play on the PC and the Switch. That could mean easily taking your Warframe on the go, be it travel for work, leisure, or just because.

Any switch gameplay yet?
In the trailer.

Any reviews of the original Warframe, and the current Warframe or just any sort of comparison? Curious about the changes that folks spoke about on how different it's changed since it originally came out.

I watched this a few months ago when DE hinted at looking into a Switch version and that sold me on it.

there's also this, which is even more recent:

The old laptop is an i5 with an 840m gpu. I can't lock it to 30fps 720p.

It's not 60FPS on PS4, more like fluctuated framerate at best, low 20 at worse. Having played that on PC/PS4, the engine is not really well optimized, so don't expect miracles on Switch.

I wonder how the open world parts of the game will run on Switch.

Impressive to see them porting this though and it makes sense to me too! If they get crossplay working between PC and Switch, I might finally try this out.

From the streams I've watched, I don't think it's necessarily a game for me though. In comparison to the awesome conference demos these last few years, the actual game looks a lot more visually cluttered to me in moment to moment gameplay.

Interesting, but somewhat disappointing to hear that PS4 version is having performance issues. On PC it runs like smooth butter on high end settings, but then I run it on i5 6600K @ 4,2 and 980Ti.

There is A LOT going on in screen when doing group play as everyone is using their weapons (many have effects to them) and warframe abilities. Especially in mission types where you defend single point and all frames operate on top of each other. You learn to filter it and effect caused noise bothers less and less as you play more, but visually game is busy and cluttery during group combat for sure.

Even on PC I noticed quickly it's a game you have to bruteforce to have good framerate. Before I stopped, there was often problems on that front after each patches. Unfortunately I don't think the optimization of their engine is a priority.

Gaming performance is always YMMV, but just to show how performance friendly this game was on PC.

Note that this became available in the middle of May; the game previously uses Nvidia PhysX for GPU particles.

Was watching the decoumentary. Damn, updating the PS4 game right now and can't wait to get back into it (only played a bit on PS4 launch).

Love the idea playing it on Switch if the framerate is ok.
