Luffy seems all healed up, so I assume it must have taken him and the crew at least 3 to 4 days since they escaped BM.

I kinda want to hold off and watch Katakuri vs Luffy all at once, but OP is my comfort watch when I get home from work (and Sundays are always awful), its times like this I want Dragon Ball Super back. Just some dumb action.

Really curious to see what Luffys Devil Fruit will be like when it awakens. From what we've seen at Dressrosa and WCI users with the same type of DV as Luffy are able to effect the environment itself and make it apart of their attack. Can't figure out how that would work with Luffys fruit As Katakuri and Doffy are able to manipulate their bodies in ways Luffy can't. And thanks to that difference I can't figure out how the hell Luffy will work when he awakens.
Also I'll say it now. If Logias can't Awaken then Paramecia > Logias.
Oda has been putting in some work in the new world to show that With some work Paramacia DVs are just as good if not better then Logias.

More accurately, Katakuri and Doffy have the common thread of being able to produce something. (Doffy doesn't really manipulate his body.) Katakuri can create mochi, whereas Doffy can create string. So right now, all we know is that it is a safe assumption that Paramecia users that can create a substance or material are able to transform inanimate objects to said substance/material once they awaken.
For example, Mr. 3, he can produce wax. If he awakened, then logically his ability should turn other things into wax.
But yea like you said, Luffy is different in that he can't produce anything, so it gives Oda some potential leeway here. He could have him follow the current trend and be able to make environments "rubbery", or he could do something completely different. Hopefully it's the latter, even if the former does have some potential as well. Not just because it's kind of boring on paper, but also it'd be really lame to have figured out what exactly Luffy's Awakening is.
Considering Punk Hazard's current appearance, it wouldn't be surprising that they can awaken as well. There's really no real reason to think that Logia DFs is the only grouping that can't awaken, other than the faulty logic that it'd be "unfair" if Logias could do it too. It'd be weird is Logias were the only ones that couldn't awaken. It could just be that most who have them don't bother trying to figure out how given how strong their powers already are. Even in the face of Haki the logias we've seen so far have been strong (when both users can use Haki anyway).
