USGamer decided to poke the sleeping bear and stick their hand in the hornets' nest by ranking every single Zelda game to date. By which I mean literally every single one- including the spin offs and such. Even as someone who stans for Breath of the Wild, I have zero issue with A Link to the Past being #1. It's one of the most influential and most important games of all time, and probably, objectively, the greatest game ever made. Really, the top five of that list just goes to reinforce how incredible the Zelda series is when it is firing on all cylinders. I can't wait to see where they go next.

Link to the Past is by FAR my least favorite Zelda game and my favorite post NES Zelda game is ranked 23rd.

But that's okay because I LOVE lists and am happy to have read this one ^^

I know people say this to shitpost a lot, but really, every Zelda game since LttP, through to BotW, was basically a glorified LttP remake anyway. They're probably not going to do a modern remake for that game- they tried to, and that project morphed into ALBW. I do recommend playing that (and LttP itself, of course).

Zelda 2 and Links Awakening way too low for me personally. LBW slightly too low.

Generally ok list.

I wish I could see what others do in BOTW. I just don't get it

Twilight Princess is too high, other than that looks pretty good

I'm really happy to see Four Sword Adventures in 10. The Gamecube game was fantastic and you can play it all in single player, an excellent level based Zelda game.

Yeah, that list is pretty close to how I'd place things. Nothing stands out as drastically off to me.

I cannot take any list serious that has ALTTP and Wind Waker higher than Link's Awakening and Minish Cap that low.

Im fine with this top 10.

BOTW dont deserve to be the first because it has zelda elements missing,and i would rank OOT in second and BOTW third.

I'm mostly fine with this list, though I'd honestly swap Ocarina and Majora, Swap Link between Worlds and Awakening, swap Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, and put Hyrule Warriors higher.

LttP deserves its top status.

A Link Between Worlds should be Top 3.

That game is a masterpiece and it's way more fun than any 2D Zelda that came before.

My personal Top 5:

1. Breath of the Wild
2. A Link Between Worlds
3. Majora's Mask
4. Ocarina of Time
5. A Link to the Past

I know it's a divisive issue, but I'd always rank OOT over MM for being more revolutionary and having a more complete and epic beginning and ending.

MM is so categorically different from both BotW and LttP that I'm absolutely fine with it not being determined better. All 3 fantastic games in largely different ways

I really disagree with this list. Games like Zelda II, Link's Awakening and Majora's Mask are far too low while games like the OG Zelda, Link Between Worlds, and BotW are far too high.

TP is also ay too high. Otherwise the list matches my tastes pretty well. Nailed #1 and Majora's Mask is a definite top 3 though I'd place it over BotW personally

The disrespect to Triforce Heroes, wow. That game got a bad rep. It's perfectly serviceable single player and by no means worse than Crossbow Training...

(SS should be a bit lower though).

(Also, seriously people, we all already need to come to the realization that the only thing that WW had over TP was the artstyle, TP was the superior game in terms of pure content).

Solid list, I will put BotW the first, OoT the second and AlttP the third, but I agree with the top 10 Zelda games from the list (not with the order).

A link between worlds (SNES Sendup)
Ocarina Remake (Massive N64 Game)
Majora Remake (Same as above but innovative)
Breath of the Wild (newest one/departure from formula of OOT sequels)

Then you're pretty much caught up on the franchise TBH. If you like what you've played explore the franchise. If you're not having fun getting through a game stop playing.

Most of the games in the top 5 can essentially be swapped around in almost any order without too much controversy.

I'm glad Zelda TP is in the top 10 here. The subsequent disdain for this game is imo irrational. Everyone loved the game when it released. It has the best dungeons, the best buddy character by far, a comparatively good story and an absolutely beautiful art direction that became for many years the de facto Zelda art style.

Play Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and A Link Between Worlds on 3DS. Play Breath of the Wild on Switch.

My advice is to play Ocarina first, then Breath of the Wild, then fill in with the other games later.

I am A-OK with that order. Particularly the top 5. Those are my favorite Zelda games but I don't have a particular order.

i have a feeling that a link between worlds was way overrated. i literally remember nothing about the game expect the flat thing and the fact that i was underwhelmed by it.
