Naw, Phantom Hourglass was far better than Spirit Tracks. The Spirit Flute alone ensures that.
Nothing gets my blood boiling like a Zelda list. It's not healthy for me to engage, but I can't help it.
Link's Awakening is too low.
Majora's is way too high.
I'm hoping for the day when people realize that Majora's Mask is not as good of a game as the other entries. There's a lot to love, but it is such a chore to play.
Also Spirit Tracks is easily an improvement over Phantom Hourglass. They need to switch those two.

Agreed. It's akin to reading a cliff notes version of your favorite book of all time but not knowing it was a cliff notes version until it was too late. Or having someone sink Kareokee of your favorite song of all time.
Hmm my top 10 would be
1)The wind waker
2) Breath of the wild
3) A link between worlds
4)Twilight Princess
5) Minish Cap
6) Spirit Tracks
7) Skyward Sword
8)Majoras Mask
9) Ocarina of time
10) A Link to the past
I dont think there is truly any bad games. The only one i outright dislike is zelda 2 tho.

Jesus. ALTTP is one of the most overrated games of all time.
It literally does nothing great. Terrible art, mediocre dungeons, mediocre bosses, mediocre story, completely generic characters, mediocre overworld. Literally the most generic game Nintendo has ever made.
Every other 2D Zelda excells way more in these areas in various ways than that mess.

Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass would chart a bit higher for me but otherwise I'd say that list is fairly spot on.

Also, anyone want to get in on some Tri-Force Heroes today? I never got to properly enjoy that game.
Link to the Past at one I have no real complaints with. OG Zelda, Link Between Worlds, or BoTW I might put over. Oh and links awakening.
The 3d Zelda's need to be way the fuck Lower. Ocarina and it's ilk are mega mediocre to play.

Woh, great list imo. Agree with the top 3. Breath of the Wild and Majora's Mask are my top 2 but I have nothing against Link to the Past being number 1.
How can it be generic when there weren't many games like it before?

Yeah, the only reason it's "generic" is because every single action adventure game that followed built upon its foundation. And even then, I contend none managed to pull it off as well as LttP did.
Since griping about numerical placements is a rite of passage for these threads, Hourglass being above Spirit Tracks in a negatory!
And Wind Waker continues to rank higher than it should but that's expected by this point.

Definitely doesn't match my tastes but I myself never had the fondness for ALTTP like a lot of others do. I personally enjoy every 3D Zelda more than it and also ALBW
My own Top 5, in order, would be Majora's Mask, Breath of the Wild, A Link Between Worlds, Wind Waker, and Skyward Sword. Ocarina of Time comes close and then Twilight Princess. A Link to the Past is a fair bit below Twilight Princess and the rest I personally didn't get much out of

My favourite part was playing through the same dungeon multiple times
The 3D Zeldas are far better than the 2D Zeldas, if you ask me. I only found two of them enjoyable and, even then, found them less engaging than the better 3D entries
ALTTP feels like it was a better game for it's time, but if I want to go play a 2d Zelda today I'd rather go back and play ALBW or Minish Cap instead?

Majora's Mask is the best, it plays fantastic because of the different masks and micromanaging the sidequests but it has the most heart and artistic value because of the consistent foreboding narrative and how intimate the side quests are within it. The smaller length complements the pacing of the story.
This is defnitely one zelda that i grew to love more years after first played it .It has great dungeons (to me only Skyward sword has better ones) and combat i found fun .
My only cons of it is the Tears sections being too long (i hear they fixed it in the remaster), Earrly dungeon bosses suck and The story falls flat at the very end and that i think the Artsyle should have had brighter colours like Ocarina of time .
Also i never got the comparisons saying it was OOT 2.0 .The only simiarities i got was the artsyle being a bit similar and the first dungeon being a forest dungeon
Link to the Past should be at least five spots down, Majora should be switched with Ocarina, Spirit Tracks should be well above Phantom Hourglass, and the first two games should be higher. But quibbles aside, this is a pretty representative list.
Except for the complaint about the artstyle (well, save for that pink hair) and the generally hyperbolic tone, I kind of agree. Among 2D Zeldas alone, Link's Awakening has always been a more appealing game, and recently ALBW cut a superior game from the same pattern.

I try not to comment on these lists but they did Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland wrong. Game needs more love.
I'm glad to see ALTTP get the credit it deserves. It's easily the best, followed by Link's Awakening.
I found Link Between Worlds to be good at best.

Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland being ranked so badly is heinous. It's far better than boring pack in crap like that Crossbow Training game.
