Michelle Monaghan was Wonder Woman lol

So having never seen these, and then watching the live action Justice League, what the hell happened? They hit similar notes but drop the ball on like everything else

They are like 2 halves of a good-to-great movie

War has some truly great setpieces, but the story is... super weak.
Live-action has some pretty cool character moments, but like everything else is hampered.

Imagine if JL started with a similar Parademon chase like War did or hell if the Parademons were seen as a bigger threat in the movie. Really don't do a ton with them.

The LEGO DC Super Villains game has a Suicide Squad aesthetic for the cover.

DhmKYMBVMAUV-tp.jpg

To jump to conclusions, I don't think they'll be ditching all that for the Suicide Squad movie sequel.

Gal's pretty tall as it is, add in the boots and she's probably well over 6 feet.

Reckon she is 5'10" or 5'11", around that without heels, yeah. Get Elizabeth Debicki standing next to her and she'd be shorter.

Speaking of which, Temuera Morrison (playing Thomas Curry in Aquaman) was out there talking about standing on a box for his scenes with Nicole Kidman.

Cavill has done a couple of Make-A-Wish's in the Superman suit. The last one he did I believe was actually the first look at the JL version of the suit.

I have a feeling that we'll get the 'Affleck situation' resolved before SDCC. I don't think the studio will still want it hanging over their heads when they make their presentation. Expect something in a trade like Variety or Deadline about Affleck leaving the role of Batman but excited by another big project he's doing (I'm assuming) for WB.

At this point I just don't see how Affleck stays in the role unless his agent Ari (the inspiration for Entourage's Ari BTW), who has gotten increasingly closer to WB brass, pulls off a real coup in bringing him back.

In fact, I predict that we'll get news of a few upcoming DC projects before SDCC with the presentation that serving as a chance for the talent involved to talk about the film(s) and what their vision is.

My expectations for possible DC Films stuff at or around Comic Con:

Things that'll appear in trades and interviews:

- A resolution for "The Batman" situation, at least as far as who is playing him. I'm not expecting many concrete details about the movie itself, but like Busty said, they wont want it hanging over their heads going into Hall H.
- Some more information on what's happening with the Joker film(s).
- The "Girl Gang" movie officially becoming "Birds of Prey," with the logo being revealed.
- "The Flash" set for summer or winter 2020.
- Something fun for "Teen Titans Go to the Movies" since it's out the very next week.
- This one might be a long shot as this one ain't coming out till 2021 at the earliest, but we could get a director attached to "Green Lantern Corps."
- Nothing about Superman. Our hearts continue to break.

Hall H stuff:

- "Aquaman" is a no brainer. Full panel to close out WB's presentation with the first trailer shown to the audience and hitting Youtube immediately after.
- "Shazam" may get a full panel since this is the only SDCC before it comes out, but it'll be shorter than anything else at WB's presentation. I expect they'll do that thing where they only show a teaser to the Hall H audience, they pretend to be all mad when it gets leaked, then they put it up on Youtube themselves.
- Some footage from "Wonder Woman 1984" that WB will legit not let us at home see officially (Potato Footage BOYZ). Officially, they'll release something like the first look at the Cheetah or some casting. Gal, Chris, and Patty will all come out be fabulous.

Basically, no more announcing things super far in advance. They'll announce and show things for movies set to release in 2020 at the latest, with Wonder Woman 1984, Aquaman, and Shazam making up the bulk of their focus.

News might come out in later interviews, but I just expect Aquaman, Shazam, and Wonder Woman at the panel. Warner Bros has more than DC films to show off.

The WB panel is 2 hours long and they'll have to show off Fantastic Beasts 2, all the DC stuff, and probably something else. I expect the DC stuff to be a full hour of it though starting at 11:30.

Aquaman, Shazam, and Wonder Woman 1984 are guaranteed. Not expecting anything extra... but it's not out of the question there's an update for The Flash and Birds of Prey.

Regardless, Ezra Miller will probably be there for that Harry Potter movie, so he'll be fielding questions about it.

Godzilla 2 is known to be there.

People expected a bunch of stuff last year because nobody could really think of anything Warner Bros would bring along and the DC stuff was literally Justice League and Aquaman plus logos that were shown on the screens when they transitioned to the DC segment.

They have the Godzilla stuff too. I wouldn't be shocked if Mowgli was brought out for a quick segment. A good 15-20 minutes of that presentation will be getting people on and off the stage.

Mowgli is definitely going to be there since it's out this year.

I expect Fantastic Beasts, Godzilla, and Aquaman to make the bulk the presentation with Aquaman closing the show.

Is this what you're "Feeling" or feeling

You can tell us among friends.

Two hours, I expect half of it to be dedicated to DC Films so imagine starts with Aquaman, followed by Shazam and then a Wonder Woman surprise.

Fantastic Beasts 2, but also think may get a new Potter announcement.
And of course Godzilla 2

I would hope for this to be the case, because I can't take another year of "will he, won't he"

I really feel like they made a mistake in not at least having a teaser for Aquaman before any of the huge summer movies this year. Just a simple teaser to spark a little interest after JL crashed. Bumblebee teaser is pretty good imo. The Dumbo one is amazing and that's not even out until March

Ok so Harley Quinn and Batman is on Prime video now. I've bought like nearly every DCAU movie except this one because

1)something about the trailer rubbed me wrong

2) I'm not a big fan of Harley and she was being shoved down our throats at the time (like Gambit in the 90's)

3) it was getting bad feedback

Now normally I don't give a shit about reviews or people's feedback on movies, especially super hero related movies. I know my own bias and I'm going to end up liking what people hate because I love most all super hero stuff. I should have stuck with what worked for me. I don't care if I get hate, flame me but I really liked this movie. There was a couple cringey things but overall it was like an HD episode of Batman TAS on FXX. Maybe people are remembering Batman TAS wrong but it really wasn't all grim and serious and I feel this captured that spirit pretty good.

I haven't been hot on a lot of recent DCAU releases but I'm really sorry I skipped this one.

I think if the rumors are true about Reeves' Batman film beginning to hire pre-production crew then we'll probably, finally, hear some official news about it in the coming weeks leading up to SDCC. They've had a fucking year to sort this out, if they still don't know 100% whether or not Affleck is staying or leaving by now then I'm just gonna throw my hands up in the air and walk outta the (metaphorical) room.

If he is leaving the role, then I suppose it's entirely possible they've held off announcing it because they didn't have his replacement cast yet and are saving it for SDCC. If that is the case, then they've done pretty good job of keeping all of that under-wraps. I'm not going to hold my breath though, instead I'll prepare myself for the disappointment when Comic-Con comes and goes without any news related to Batman (or Superman).

Did people know Mark Ruffalo was replacing Edward Norton before that SDCC?

They're gonna sneak [insert actor] onto the stage.

I mean there's still Mission Impossible at the end of the month, but yeah kind of agree

I do agree they should have shown something for Aquaman earlier. SDCC is literally the absolute latest they can hold off till without showing anything.

They will probably drop the Aquaman trailer at SDCC along with a new release date. They'll show art for WW84 and a teaser for SHAZAM!. Either Birds of Prey or SS2 gets a logo drop. Maybe a title for the Reeves Batman movie.

Basically. WB knows the position they're in with their DC properties. Can't blame them for holding off on Aquaman and Shazam footage until they're absolutely certain it's the best they can do.

Going by the people who seen the teaser, the CGI and stuff we're way from finished. So they couldn't really get it out there. Wan was hesitant to even show that
I know, Wan said if he doesn't like it, he won't show it.

We are in the week before the week of SDCC!! We are close to disappointment or hype.

It's easy to turn into a joke, especially something like aquaman. Look how people dragged the shit out of venom in the first teaser.

My money's on:

- Aquaman trailer
- Shazam teaser
- Wonder Woman 1984 teaser of some sort
- Birds of Prey logo reveal
- Maybe casting reveal for Barbara Gordon in BoP or one of the other BoP members

I have a feeling we won't get any news on Batman for awhile still.

I'm sure if WB wanted, they could have gotten spectacular, movie quality CGI into a simple 1 minute teaser trailer. Nothing too fancy, just anything. I mean, look at the teaser trailer for TDK that made it into theaters. I just don't get why they were ok with waiting so long and missing out on a huge summer box office run of what, 3-4 superhero movies and 1 Star Wars. Oh well, maybe they get the same exposure whether your trailer is in the theaters or on Youtube nowadays.

You also got to think of it in the long run they have the attention for most of the rest of the year
They'll be in front of Mission Impossible, Venom and Fantastic Beasts 2 for sure.
