redrix We Ran Out of Medals hnggggggggggggg

I changed my mind. No kinetic recoil mods required here. It just took me awhile to get used to the kick and sights. still better with recoil mods, but nowhere near as necessary as I thought early on.

1,000 crucible kills with it tomorrow.

25? you're just a young buck.

call us when you get to 60 and are still weaponless. xD
60 and weaponless....OMG

I was thinking about this yesterday as I played close to 6 hours straight.

I hate the new Tower, I loved D1's
I hate the new Supers, D1 was superior in every way

I cannot stand the movement, FOV, Raid, strikes, weapon slot, MP, and breaking up strike teams compared to D1.

I really have no clue why they went so far away from all the thpeople bus that made the first fun.
The histrionics around D1 always astound me.

Bungie day has always been a fart in the wind ever since it peaked at Chilled Out returning to Halo 3 for free. They will never top that shit.

It feels like PvP is mostly teams that entirely or 3/4 Hunters these days wearing Wormhusk

Went up against a whole team of Arcstrider hunters with that helm in competitive. Oh what fun.

I use wormhusk but run solar. It's interesting seeing the complaints about it though.

Is it just me & Dreams-Visions who use Fighting Lion? Anyway, I got a reply to how FL will work in the fall with slot changes, given that any legendary single-shot grenade launcher can be in the 1st or 2nd slot now:

nah i fucking hated the gun alot before its buff... its in my second slot alot now its fun but still think it should have half its ammo it has and one shot on direct hit. Which i find does sometimes and sometimes not, like i wonder if host has a difference or not. i love the play of the game, its fun to rock both with a HC in primary slot.

Really would like to do every single Moment of Triumph and get the highest tier emblem, but the only thing in my way (as of right now, anyway) is hitting Legend Valor rank. I'm not sure I can take all that Crucible.

It is extremely easy to do right now with the increased valor you get this weekend. But as soon as I hit rank 5 I was fucking done.

3x valor and mayham is a godsend if you need to get ranks. Even when you lose you get a big chunk of bar filled and if you happen to win 5 in a row, then boy do you have a stew going.

I was already close to finishing the valor triumph. Def gonna finish it in one more win.

I'm just now watching the Jungle Book and the voice of the Alpha wolf in the movie is the same guy who did the Destiny trailer about the law of the jungle.

I figured it out becasue both times he says it he sounds identical to Destiny Dad.

It looks like you will be able to pick and choose some of the Triumphs a bit allowing you to get all the main rewards rather than having to complete everything on the list, pretty sure that's how it was handled in the past too, right?

Edit: Then again, I guess not as with the unknown points earned from the events from Solstice of Heroes it adds up to 400.

...and it clearly says "400 points (all)" to get the emblem upgrade, must have been a previous "Record Book" that gave you options.

Jumped in and I am playing the free weekend (PC). I am enjoying it so far. I can see it getting old pretty quickly though. Undecided if I'll pick it up for the discount (base game + 2 DLCs). I played D1 and hated the bullet sponges in higher level content. It was so mind numbing. It's probably the same here. Is there any point in buying this game if I don't plan on doing the raids? I am not against group content, but organizing, coordinating, voice chatting and all that is not my beef. Is there stuff I can enjoy at end game that is a bit lighter.. that doesn't require me to talk to other people on a headset?

You can do basically everything other than the raids w/o voice.

Give it a shot.

D2 is a total different experience for me so far. Used to have a steady raid team in D1, but that was also when I didn't have a job that is always 10-hrs a day minimum. Haven't done one raid yet, just one final boss. MoT were a piece of piss in D1 and now I'm getting ok not worrying about them. Game is finally fun to play on its own merit so my completionist attitude is disappearing. Feels good.

If ever a multi-platform progression is introduced, I will be double-dipping for PC.

But until then, the thought of starting all over again is preventing me from building a rig

I know the idea of starting over feels a bit overwhelming but you should consider it with Forsaken as you get a Spark of Light to help with the progression factor along with a bevy of new Legendary/Exotic gear/weapons which you may find more useful/favorites going forward.

So, honest opinion -- I know I'm in a thread where people love Destiny 2 ... but, is it worth just getting the base game to play, no expansions? I can pick it up for $4.06 at Best Buy ... or is it just not even worth playing the vanilla version?

For $4? That kind of answers itself but yes definitely as it will give you a good idea if you want to get the expansions as all of the quality of life improvements and updates are included without the expansions. That said, Forsaken (the first major expansion coming on September 4th) seems like the true sequel to Destiny 1 so most of us are hoping that's the pinnacle Destiny experience thus far. There are a lot of changes coming in September that will change the game in big ways like random rolls (providing longevity and putting the excitement back into drops a bit) and weapon slot changes (allowing lots of freedom to the player in choosing their loadout) etc, etc.

I also believe all the multiplayer maps that came with the small expansions (Curse of Osiris and Warmind) are unlocked for all players if interested in PvP, not a 100% certain though.

Edit: Another thing to consider is that you have to start somewhere so even if you were planning on getting the expansions you would still have to complete the vanilla Destiny 2 campaign, etc. With all the updates since launch you will be playing a better version of the "vanilla" game than a lot of others experienced.

People say I should wait until September to buy it because there will be a all in one bundle that is cheaper? Base game + 3 dlc? How much is it expected to cost?
But how many people will still do DLC1 and DLC2 content when Forsaken gets released?

Definitely. The first month of the game, everyone loved it, and it's really at the vanilla end-game that people started getting frustrated. The main campaign is long by shooter standards (20+ missions), has tons of environmental and enemy variety and has Bungie's "best in industry" gunplay. The endgame and sandbox has improved substantially since vanilla with supers recharging faster and tons of weapon and ability buffs. There are deals for the game at $10-$20 and I'd definitely pick it up, even if you don't want to dump in hundreds of hours into it (which even the haters here have done).

And feel free to drop by the discord (see OP) to find others, because Destiny is best with friends!

Returning to this game after year, to dive into the curse of Osiris. I don't remember my players movements being so slow... maybe I got spolied by Doom. Anyways, my character is the hunter, level 20 something, how do I make myself faster?

I have some exotic leg armor with really high mobility stat but it won't let me equip it. It's in my collection at the vault, but I can't seem to move it to my vault? I don't understand.

I read online that I might have to buy it (from my own collection? Huh?) using "legendary shards"? I looked those up, and it looks like these are for higher-level people. Something about drops, and loot, for daily players.

I am so confused!

Tldr; Basically right now, I just want to move way faster right away and figure out how to equip exotic leg armor i already own in my collection.

We've been asking for the past year, stand in line bud. Mobility does not increase sprint speed.

You get legendary shards from dismantling purple-rated items.

Player speed is largely static with no way to influence it significantly. You can equip lightweight weapons for a minor speed buff, or use Arcstrider which has a minor speed bump.

Other than that, there is "skating", but that can only truly be done in supers with Arcstrider.

As for the exotic, do you already have an exotic armor piece equipped? If you do, you may only have one in use at any given time.

Failing that, do you meet its level requirements?

I was taking a gander at my triumphs page and noticed that I needed to complete one more adventure to tick that box. The adventure in question is "Not Even the Darkness (Mercury)", the final weapon forge deal with Saint-14. Problem is, I've already done it ages ago, and to my recollection I don't think there's a way to redo it. Anyone else have this problem?

I just had an Exotic Catalyst drop in a really early story mission while leveling up an alt. Had no idea that was even possible.
