I mean, aren't these people professional lawyers who passed the BAR exam and abide by the law of their juristiction or the U.S.? So why is it saying they "practice" law. When you practice something that means you're not good at it, like you practice riding a bicycle or playing baseball or something.
If you're practicing law you should know what you're doing especially if you're defending people in serious life situations. Shouldn't it be called, "I abide by the law," or "I teach the law?"
