But is it bad that I'm annoyed that neither Sonic nor Tails is more traumatized? Like, Sonic's been captured and tortured by his arch-nemesis for MONTHS. Tails watched his best friend die, and someone in the first episode even said something like, "He hasn't been himself." But no, he's just off fixing stuff.
Like, I really don't like it when a franchise goes incredibly dark and gritty just for the sake of being dark and gritty, but once you've already gone that route, for God's sake, COMMIT TO IT.
Now, if Past!Sonic turns out to be a figment of Tails' imagination and Tails is just ripping through guys, I'll let that slide, but... come on, no.
