Do you know RobinGaming? I really like his works and his personality, but his reaction to the kiss was really weird! And his recent video about Naughty Dog was the first video of him that I disliked.

It's good to see that Neil doesn't give a shit about this thoughts.

What did he say? I am subbed to his channel but haven't watched any content from him recently.

Mystic is pretty good.
Playstation Access is brilliant, although it's a Sony channel so they do shill hard and are never negative.
Caddicarus also leans heavily Playstation, although a majority of his stuff is retro.

So guys end of this gen is coming and Sony Studios had a great output and will have in 2019/2020. I wanted to ask you how did you support sony first party this gen? Did you bought full price or waited for sale? How many you bought? Share us your statistics.
--------------------------------------------
Rule 1: Only titles of 12 Studios are counted. In other words no 2nd party exclusives.

Was wondering what you all thought about a co op mode for horizon and 4 player co op for days gone sequels. Think it could really elevate the two games.
Horizon was already amazing imagine fighting two thunderjaws with a buddy.
Days gone would probably sell waaay more

COuldnt agree more especially on Days Gone. I'm excited for the game and all, but my hype would skyrocket if we were able to get our Fortnite crew all in there fighting hordes together

For Horizon I would say no, unless GG wants to make a separate mode dedicated to a co-op MP experience.

Day Gone I think should have a drop-in, drop-out co-op. Maybe in the sequel this is something they can do.

😏
Co op modes have always offered the best fun/experience in video games. it also adds a lot of diversity and replay value to a game. if sony want to continue holding the market down, they would need to move on from single player cinematic games and invest in the multiplayer/gaas medium. horizon and days gone would benefit a lot with a coop mode. imagine taking down a horde of zombies or a swarm of mechanical flying birds with a couple of friends

breh... that would be dope

I understand Bend couldn't do an online for Days Gone.

It's their first big console game & development time probably couldn't make it.

But if Days Gone turned out to be a success, then maybe we could ask them to do online component in the sequel.

Horizon 2 should too, in my opinion.

It's asking too much for them to make their first game on a console on a console. Add that it's a new IP. They can make some great horde stuff for the sequel.

I want coop in a sequel but more than anything, I want a versus mode like Left 4 Dead.

Four players trying to survive against a horde of zombies, with 4 players controlling special zombie types trying to hunt them down. It would be pretty fantastic given the games focus on open world, systems based gameplay as the survivors try to move from camp to camp.

How are people expecting Sony to handle their upcoming conferences? They'll obviously have one at TGS. But will they return to gamescom this year, stick with PGW or skip Europe altogether like they did in 2016? If they do have one will that come at the expense of PSX as it did last year? I think gamescom could make sense as Spider-Man is releasing the following month and it'd give them one last chance to make a big public marketing splash (aside from all the obvious commercials that'll run) with it before it launches. That'd also give it a three month gap between PSX, so they could be ready to go for that again. They could also lean on more of their European games and partnerships there as well as third party games to leave content for PSX. Meaning no TLoUPII, Death Stranding, Days Gone and so on.

I could see Days Gone with a coop mode, but I don't know much about that game.
But Horizon? idk, maybe a special mode where you go hunting together, but for that to be fun long term the hunting would have to be much deeper.

My dream:

Don't really care about TGS so skip the conference. Show those games elsewhere preferably. Move to a two conference format. E3 and PSX, roughly 6 months apart. Have the PGW/GS presence, but you don't need a conference. Put PSX in Europe this year.

Alternatively, make PSX smaller and more fan focused (in different countries every year) and make E3 plus PGW or GS your two main conferences.

I think 4 conferences is too much. 3 results in odd scheduling issues due to how close PSX is with the EU ones.

TGS is a must for the JP games ( and for the late night laughs). They should skip everything else (conference wise) and go all out with PSX.

Let's be honest, they already showed their hands multiple times. Do we really need a PGW conference to see the same games again? I rather they just released new trailers and gameplay videos on the Gamescom/PGW days.

Well, this is his reaction to the kiss, and it was so unexpected from him.

Then he made a video about the Naughty Dog "Agenda", and long story short, he doesn't like Naughty Dog as much as he did 10 years ago, because he thinks that they're focusing on LGBT stuff too much.

Besides that kiss, he thinks Chloe and Nadine are in love with each other, because in one art work, their faces are embarrassed, and some Naughty Dog staff in Twitter used "Chlodine" instead of Chloe and Nadine!

This is his video if you want to hear the whole story:

Sorry for the gif spam. Just like sharing these. I've got one last quest on TFW :( ...
Thanks. With the light falling through the leaves the game looked exceptional at night. I felt like just sitting there :)

I am playing the complete edition and now TFW quest has popped up in the map. Should I play it now or after finishing the main quest? or it dsnt matter?

Actually you couldn't. It's precisely who Aloy is and what that gives access to, that allows her to gain this knowledge.

I mean you can state this all you want. But I have yet to see evidence of such. And since multiple people are claiming this, I'd like to understand what you all mean when you say this.

It's hard to put my finger on one thing that made Aloy kinda boring.

As someone said previously, she seems too perfect. She doesn't seem to have any significant internal conflicts or challenges (except for a few very superficial "choices"). Losing Rost was the thing that got us closest to any of that, but even then there wasn't much of a lasting impact. The bit about Aloy being broken up over Sobeck being her mother/being a clone was another chance but was really quite poorly done.

Throughout her journey I also felt the character development wasn't that good. All the stuff she learns about history and how that affects her actions doesn't really count as good "character development" imo. If I bring up Joel as an example, he starts off completely jaded, closed, almost uncaring. By the end his attitude on life has had a massive change, more open, caring about others, risking his own life for the sake of someone else's etc. Aloy doesn't really have any of that. She's still the same person, nothing much has changed - she just knows more about the story. There was some good development in her relationships with others as she saw more of the world, though.

Returning to the Nora after getting all the GAIA info admittedly felt like she had developed, but even then it felt cheaply earned, relying on info dumps rather than some soul-searching journey.

Also, the acting was quite one-note and contributed to her blandness. I didn't think it did that good of a job at conveying emotion.

I'm no expert writer, but this is what my gut feeling was looking back at the game. Like I said before I still enjoyed the story of the past world (seems to be a sentiment shared by many people), but I think a stronger main character would have made it even stronger and, more importantly, made the current storylines more compelling for everyone.

Yep, multiplayer is exactly what's needed to push me towards buying those games.

While we're at it could I get a TLOU Battle Royale too thx.

That's because Aloy wasn't a murderous psychopath at any point in her history. If we're going to compare her to anyone in tLoU it would be Ellie not Joel. Ellie has never been outside of Boston in her life before the events of the game. Ellie has known loss and Aloy is an orphan, etc.

Also I don't think we should be spoiling huge plot points of the game. There are always going to be people that haven't played all these games that are in these threads.

Lastly, I thought the Sobeck/Aloy stuff was incredibly well done.

Returning to the Nora after getting all the GAIA info admittedly felt like she had developed, but even then it felt cheaply earned, relying on info dumps rather than some soul-searching journey.

Yeah have to disagree on the acting. Aloy displays loads of sarcasm, wit, sadness and disbelief. She calls out people she just met as liars when they don't tell the truth. And she believes enough in the world to do her best to make it better even though it treated her like shit.

You really can't compare Aloy to Joel plus at the end Joel cared about ellie but his attitude about others did not change IMO.
For Aloy this was her learning more about her self but from a young age she already deal with internal conflicts or challenges for certain aspect of the plot .
It's one of the reason why she said fuck you to the Nora after they found out who she was and start acting different towards her.
Her growth and development came more form her interacting with other characters and she doing what she set out to do no matter how people look at her.

I think with HZD 2 they will do more with her and when we look back you would say part one was just the start of her character .

My biggest issue with Aloy, apart from being totally humourless, is that she's completely unfeminine. You get the feeling with developers that they think they can make a female character 'strong and independent' by basically writing a guy with tits and long hair.

It doesn't work like that. Women are actually different from men. The same could be said about Nadine in the Uncharted series. Although, the to ND, Chloe is a really great female character - tough but convincingly female.

What? I never felt Aloy was more like a guy at all. You are projecting your believes onto the game and character more than the game ever did.

She also had a ton of humor to the point there is an entire Youtube compilation video of comedy moments.

Chloe is an amazing character. If anyone is to helm the new Uncharted, I hope it's either her or the OG Drake set in the olden times. I Nadine is just a boring character. The 3rd character that comes late is more interesting in that time that she is in both 4 and the DLC.

don't care for Drake's daughter at all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, co-op in Horizon is actually a strong possibility, given they had it in early development. However, most criticially to me is that I'd rather they release the game without it, then release it later on. The first game was great without it, so I'd like them to give top prioritise that.

Thanks. With the light falling through the leaves the game looked exceptional at night. I felt like just sitting there :)

Hmm, personally I'd hold off until the last quest or a couple quests before. I normally do TFW after the main quest because it really is so long. I just finished it and it took me 30h again, lol. It's around 15 hours though, and not particularly related to the main story though it does have a few related points. It's up to you, but it's like Hearts of Stone; you can do it either in the middle of the main questline, or afterwards. The main issue with doing it beforehand is that you're underlevelled; for reference, TFW's last level suggests you are around LVL60 in game. It can disrupt the flow of the main story and may affect the pacing of the main story unintentionally, too.

Well, this is his reaction to the kiss, and it was so unexpected from him.
At first I thought he was a little prudish and embarrassed by a scene of a (very mild) sexual nature. But when he mentioned BFV it was clear he was uncomfortable because it was two girls. It's always very weird to see a younger person act this way. More so when they double down with a 'ND Agenda' video.

I always watch plenty of E3 reaction vids and I don't recall any other adverse reactions.

I've been listening to this song and Undone in Sorrow ever since the E3 trailer.
Have never heard of Crooked Still before.

Me either, but anything with banjo+fiddle I like. Sounds purdy.

I don't tend to listen to lots of VG music, but since E3 I've been listening to lots of Crooked Still on top of Halo soundtracks, Devil Trigger, and the song in the Gears 5 trailer. I'm still as hype as I was June 10 - 12th.
