Why do the men treat Federer like this? lol. It seems like many of them don't actually want to win against him

These guys are dying to win. Mannarino is way over matched and is just having fun with the fact Federer has owned him. Tons of players Federer has a ridiculous record, but those guys desperately waned to twin.

Soderling said something similar too, like no man beats me 11 times in a row. And then no man beats me 12 times in a row. That dude would do anything to win.

If someone has a perfect record against you, there's not much you can say.

Other players have also said they love playing Federer because they love just seeing him play. A lot of these guys aren't going out to win.

Don't agree at all. Yeah, the first set was bad for Mannarino, but he was clearly fighting back in the second and third sets. If he wasn't going out there to win, why would he even bother?

I guess I worded it badly but it doesn't feel like these guys go out there to peak against him like the girls do to the top players on the women's side.

Rodina has a little pudge belly. You rarely see Russian tennis players with visible body fat, but hey whatever works!

edit: But its not working today...her taped leg seems to be bothering her.

On the womens side I think Kerber and Goerges are playing at the highest level. Wouldn't surprise me if we saw an all German final. Small consolation for how their footballers fared in Russia.

Djokovic will win Wimbledon this year and there is nothing we can do about it

They suspended the Del Po v. Simon match due to bad light. They should have been put on Centre, but, you know, they just HAD to put Jamie Murray's mixed doubles match on there instead.

Djokovic looks to be playing better than the rest

What is your reasoning? Federer is the only player left who has not had his service game broken all tournament and his matches are still the shortest on average.

Doesn't mean Djokovic or Nadal or DelPo are playing bad. They could all beat Fed. Do you think Djokovic just has faced tougher opponents?

Only caught that last set but it was an excellent watch. Was sad that Kasatkina couldn't hold on to keep the match going, she seemed pretty raw.

Usually you can count on Giorgi self-destructing at some point in the match. But she already made the quarter-finals so this tournament might be different.

there is nothing like seeing serena go on a rip. how amazing.

This match ended up being really great preparation for Serena. I knew there wouldn't be an upset but i'm happy Giorgi practiced control to give her a fight.
Serena needs to work on her movement a little more. Kerber would give her problems in a potential final.

My prediction of an all German final still alive!
Also, Goerges will be the first seeded opponent Serena will have faced this tournament.

3 of the 4 semi finalists on the womens side are grand slam champions. WTA redeemed!!

Yeah she's not moving at all. Her footwork probably isn't going to come in until the USO or maybe 2019.

Thing about Wimbledon is, you don't have to be a great mover to win it. Venus has always moved like an albatross but she has won it 5 times. The speedy movers that dominate clay usually don't fare as well on grass.

You act like that matters to a player like Serena. Her GS SF and F record is insane.
Goerges' servebotting right now is at least on par with Serena's, but Goerges has been better from the baseline than Serena. I think Goerges is playing the best tennis right now and she should beat Serena as long as she doesn't get intimidated by the moment like so many do against a 20+ time Grand Slam champ.

Just checked my bracket I made pre-tournament and it's in 39th place out of 4000+
Pre-tournament I predicted the semi finals to be Halep, Kerber, Goerges, and Serena.

Not bad,not bad... ;)

No upsets today for me:

Djokovic over Nishikori.

Nadal over Del Potro

Federer over Anderson

Now this one is a hard one to predict lol,but I have to go with my fellow Canadian, Raonic over Isner.
