Depending on the June results, I'm inclined to predict PS4 being the best seller of 2018 personally. I think Switch will do great during Pokémon and Smash months and naturally November as well due it it being a holiday month.

But PS4s got a lead right now, it has got some real heavy hitters coming up as well, and some real wild cards in stuff like Call of Duty Black Ops Battle Royale mode and whether or not Sony does another $199 price point.

I think they might extend the BF 199$ pricecut till the new year this time.

Btw, kinda random i know, but right now... I feel like Switch is gonna take July/August.

And June should be close even with the DoP.

I think Switch can take June (Fortnine, MTA, lots of, albeit late, third party ports) and July (late June releases carry over the momentum to July, Octopath Traveller). Mostly cause I think PS4 doesnt/didnt have much going for it (Days of Play deals only afaik?). August should be a toss. No idea if anything significant will release on either (I know Switch isnt).

Edit: I hit post early :P

Exactly. I'd actually be quite surprised if PS4 doesn't (narrowly) outsell the Switch for 2018.

Somewhere South
Mat, just like everyone else with common sense, goes to the beach - none of this waterslide park nonsense. Just takes one glance at his glorious, perfect tan to know that.

Do you think you will have predictions closed before quarterly financial reports release?
Just checked Nintendo's FY release (figuring the three are close together), and that was April 26. That'd make the Q1 2019 report releasing probably July 26 or so, too. With the results for June releasing in early August, the cutoff would probably be shortly after the financials are released, then.

Edit:
Will see about getting the June prediction thread up this weekend. Predictions would close on July 31 at 8 p.m. EDT.
