Because you'd need to do it for 8 characters seperately. It's not exactly rocket science.
...Yes, and? Why does the number of stories decrease each one's individual potential for character development or depth?

Do you believe reviewers finish all their games? lol
Yea I thought they did, atleast 90% of them
Sadly, especially for RPGs.
Was it heinous for SaGa Frontier to not have singular big bad when each character also had their own personal quests and motivations as well personal enemies to fight.
Not every single RPG has to have a cohesive relationship between the entire cast against a common threat to work against. SaGa Frontier isn't the only example of this style of RPG working in this manner, either.
Could someone transcribe this short video of a conversation between Primrose and H'aanit (in spoilers, if necessary) for me, please? I'm on farm internet and it keeps auto-correcting it to a quality where it's illegible.
Because of time and budget. They're not going to write a Shakespearan novel for each character if that's what you believe....Yes, and? Why does the number of stories decrease each one's individual potential for character development or depth?
Sometimes focusing on one character at a time can make it easier to show their growth and development. You are judging something before actually experiencing it, you really dont know one way or the other. Why not just wait and see?Because you'd need to do it for 8 characters separately. It's not exactly rocket science.

Maybe he's saying those stories come together in chapter 5, and the people that say the stories don't come together didn't finish the game is what he means by review differences
I also think high 70s low 80s.Absolutely. I'm expecting a metascore in the low 80s too, if not upper 70s for the same reason.
This simply isn't an RPG with mainstream appeal, and for RPG reviews you're better off following strictly genre-centric sites anyway.
I'm trying to keep the hype low, man.Sometimes focusing on one character at a time can make it easier to show their growth and development. You are judging something before actually experiencing it, you really dont know one way or the other. Why not just wait and see?
Yep, playing Haanit made me almost pass on the game completely. But she so OP.I can already tell I'm not going to like playing through H'aanit's story.

Same, english is not my main language and some of what she said in that exchange was straight gibberish to me hahaI can already tell I'm not going to like playing through H'aanit's story.
That could be said for a ton of long games. Just go back and read some reviews of games you've played and you'll see who's actually finished the game or not.
Plus it isn't a secret at times. Some reviewers would mention if they didn't finish it. I recall reading two Xenoblade 2 reviews where they didn't finish the game.
You bet! I reviewed games for 12 years and RPGs are the worst to review, they are too long and generally, we have only two weeks to review them prior the launch date. However, there's sometimes a review guide or some notes to let you know if you don't have 50-60 hours to put in the game.
I tried to hold off on the demo to come in fresh when the game came out. I finally cracked, played my three hours, got cut off, and now I'm angry. Consider it already lost.
Is the problem with H'aanit the way she speaks or something else? Haven't tried her yet.

And Disclaimer I know it is Middle English, I read your other thread! <3 But I really can't understand some of the things in the video you posted haha
I write reviews for a small website, because we're small we don't always get review copies as early as the big boys. Persona 5 for example was an impossibility to finish in time.
It lets you access the skills of another job while retaining the base one.Can someone detail what a sub job gives you? I can't find anything concrete on what that is despite many places already deciding what they'll do.
Alright but what skills? Regular skills, support skills, or both?It lets you access the skills of another job while retaining the base one.
It gives you skills that can be used in battle (like spells) as well as passive abilities (the apothercary lets you recover 1% SP of the damage you dealtAlright but what skills? Regular skills, support skills, or both?

Ah okay. As a non native I used to find stuff like this super annoying but I've gotten used to it (precisely thanks to RPGs lol) and now I kinda enjoy learning these, provided they're not that complicated... Worst dialect quirk I've experienced is the uh scottish (?) english from some characters in Dragon Quest IV DS.
Is there anything else you get from importing a save from the prologue? I REALLY enjoyed my 3 hours but want to choose differently when the game releases.
Does the amount of JP required to unlock a new skill go back to 30 with a secondary job? I hope it does since it would encourage the player to mess around with trying new builds and jobs
