Sony's upcoming spinoff to Men in Black has begun production and we've got the first photos from the set with a first look at star Chris Hemsworth.

Also, Hemsworth is joined in the film by his Thor: Ragnarok co-star Tessa Thompson along with Liam Neeson. Plot details for the new Men in Black movie are scarce, but the film is said to take place in London and centers around a "new combination" of characters and is more of an ensemble film than a duo like the first three movies.

Didn't realize they were going through this movie or were even to the point of filming. Should be interesting seeing how this turns out.

Is it a spinoff or reboot? Very important to distinguish.

Hemsworth and Neeson spearheading a MiB film is not something I ever knew I wanted. And now I do. Can't wait for it to come out.

no beard is disappointing. was hoping they would keep Chris and Tessa as close to their appearances in Ragnarok for this as legally possible so we could basically pretend this is Thor in Black

Both Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth benefits from having a beard.

And also Chris Pratt.

Is that a new MIB logo? Or is that from the old comics? Because it is absolutely fucking dreadful, good lord

This also has Kumail Nanjiani and Rafe Spall in it - talk about a fairly solid cast.

Oh holy shit, get hype!

As long as it's more like 1, 3, and TAS and nothing at all like 2 I think I'll be quite pleased with this hehehe

Chris Hemsworth is actually a great fit for this. He's pretty funny and is clearly ready for the more action heavy parts. But has any movie he has been in outside of the MCU not been box office poison?

Maybe for you. But it's hardly horrendous casting.
It's a pretty huge drop from the first three. Nothing about Chris Hemsworth is special or notable and Liam Neeson's shtick is overdone.

I still will see the movie because I enjoy the first three a lot and I can hope the actors chosen are actually invested in it and aren't just doing it for the money. It'll be pretty sad if this comes out and it's just some generic movie with MIB slapped on it.

Not that this is saying much but I think this will easily be the best movie in the series.
