Do you have something against Will Smith? The first three movies are great.
MIB 3 was so damn good, I was relieved because previews looked absolutely horrendous.
how are you going to go and defend MIB3? smh
considering how great the first one is I can't see where your wild expectations are coming from
This isn't a strange opinion to have. It's a solid movie, where as the original is amazing and the second is truly awful.

All three are great. I don't see a single thing wrong with the second movie.
Next to 2, 3 isn't bad but it's pretty bland, middling, Brolin wasn't bad, I can't remember half of it

It's a fun 90s flick, but ehh. I liked the tv series more as a kid anyway.

Considering how fantastic and fresh the first MiB was/is, I highly fuckin' doubt it. lol
But hey I like Chris Hemsworth, I like Tessa Thompson, and I LOVE the MiB series so I'm praying for them to deliver something that's at least better than 2 or 3.
I've been waiting for another great MiB movie for 16 years!

There's not a single thing wrong with any of the movies. The first is great, the second is more of the first which is great and the third is something new that turned out better than people expected.
Well, duh. (Although you could make that conclusion about scarjo and be dead wrong).
However, I'm tired of seeing the same faces everywhere, and honstly, I do not for a second believe that these movies make money because people wanna see chris. Personally, I don't really give a shit who's acting, as long as the movie looks cool.
The chemistry between Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith is MiB to me. 2 was crap but 1 and 3 were enjoyable. Looking forward to this reboot just like any other reboot hoping that it'll be worth a watch.

The rest I was bored by, script issue exposition character being the worst offence tho.
I never really loved the first 3, they were alright but nothing amazing really. Could never put my finger on why but they never seemed to reach the full potential of what it could be.
Maybe this sequel / soft reboot ? will do a better job of pulling me in. The cast is certainly a good start.

I'm also happy because I was scared they'd do the 22 jump street garbage treatment. MIB deserves some efforts put into it.
It's SONY but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt after Jumanji. They can make comfy movies, which is all this needs to be.
