Only comparison of the latest versions I can find calls them 'both excellent'. https://www.thurrott.com/mobile/mic...essions-apple-pencil-new-surface-pen-comparedThey aren't. Apple Pencil is a lot better than the surface pens. Surface pens aren't bad, but Apple is superior.
I promise you the iPad Pro is not only faster than this, it will also have a better pen and run apps better and has a way better eco system for this type of hardware.
??
I have a surface now lower end and it's def not fast at doing edits. Or are you looking for quick single edits?Might think about getting it. Need something for on the go editing of photos.
Which is plenty for an iPad. Windows takes up almost 30gb of storage itself. So you only would have around 28gb free on a 64gb model.
Bezels are also great for artists or just holding the device too. There is a minimum bezel size to work with the keyboard mechanism. It's a touch smaller than the SPro bezel by the look of things, but the overall smaller screen makes it stand out more. I'll take slightly chunkier devices if they cram in more battery personally.
Quoting myself here...Yeah, on second look, might be better off going with the older S3 or S4 for the dollar amount.

Apparently you just search for 'Switch out of S mode' in the windows store, and it's a free (though one way) process, at least based on the FAQ.

People complaining about the bezel when the 4GB ram is the real deal killer. I'd rather use an iPad than this POS.

Why not just snag this straight from MS's online store:

Surface Pro (5) - 128 - 8 - i5 + keyboard for $799.
Seems like an infinitely better deal, no? Unless every dollar is of absolute premium, regardless of quality.

The only negative thing I've heard about the Surface Pro is the mediocre battery life.
The i5 is the one you want to buy, too, incase people don't know. Passively cooled and silent, with better battery life. It's kind of neat you can get one with an i7 but I think the downsides far outweigh the upsides. That's a great deal. Why not just snag this straight from MS's online store:

You shouldn't!I have a Surface Pro 4, so why do i want this?
Honestly looks awesome. Way better then the pics I saw earlier.
This is the complete opposite of what they need in the Surface line. Low specs, low memory, low storage for $399? Who are they aiming for with this product?
It's their third try at this. As someone who has a Surface 3 and I think I even still have an RT kicking around somewhere (what a weird experiment THAT was), this appeals to me in ways I doubt it appeals to many. Which is sort of hilariously missing the point.
I mean, 4 gigs of ram is part of that. S mode will keep programs from running at start up, and so forth. 4 gigs is workable for windows 10 (arguably more workable than 64 gigs of storage), but it gives you very little overhead.
Makes sense, I will say that my S3 takes FOREVER to do big Windows updates.Moderating Reset on my 3 is slower than I'd like. Don't really like to take my Pro to bed, cause it's a work device and it's on the large size.
