Even if you don't notice the issues they are there. If you are going to the Home menu while the game is running, the audio delay gets longer and longer, and you are experiencing the issues, even if you don't notice it.
Thank you for quoting my earlier posts and further proving my point, I never insinuated that the issue wasn't there for you, and I've stated from the beginning that I hope your issue was addressed. I merely stated that it wasn't there for me, and it isn't there for many others. Thanks again for supporting my statement.

Uh huh, the issue isn't there....FOR ME! I never said it wasn't there for you, and you know that. So does anyone else who's been reading this ridiculous exchange. Stop accusing me of insinuating that you're lying, and stop implying that I'm not noticing the issue, if you would be so kind. As I said, rhythm is kind of one of my only skills on this planet, and I'm telling that there was no audio lag for me. That's for me, now for you, perhaps there is, but you're acting like it's affecting all users and it just simply isn't; one need only to read how many posters in this very thread have noted no issue to know that. One can also see the other posters in this thread who have experienced the same issue as you, so I do not dispute the validity of your claim, I'm merely asking you to acknowledge the supposition that not all users of the software are experiencing the same issues that you are.

Just because you don't notice it, doesn't me it's not there "for you", it means you don't notice it. Go and actually compare the audio to the 3DS VC versions or some other version with very little lag, it's off to begin with by a small amount and gets worse and worse the more you go to the Home menu.

I do own the collection on 3DS, PS4, Steam, and X1 as well, so I'll give it a shot later and see if there's a notable audio delay. If I find that the 3DS has notably better audio tracking than the Switch, then I will gladly concede that there's an issue, and that it should be addressed.

Yeah had vaguely heard about this before. Unfortunate, but it caused me to reconsider purchasing the collection. Hopefully the 2nd collection being fine is a good sign for the X collection.

Almost all the way through MM1 and haven't noticed anything or had any trouble so guess I'm lucky in that regard. Certainly wouldn't be something I told people not to buy because of. Issue can be replicated though so should be patched.

Ugh, I can't imagine the thought of playing one of the hardest Mega Man games with input lag!

OP is 100% right (if a little heavy-handed about it.) Things like lag are subjectively experienced but objectively measured. There is noticeable input lag in MMLC1 Switch, and it needs to be patched. If that means making the rewind optional, so be it. It should have been optional to begin. There is also audio lag, which gets worse the more you return to the home screen. I have the game on two different Switches, and the problems are identical and repeatable. Why is this being debated?

That said, I would not put people off buying the compilation if they want to. I completed 5 of the 6 games with only minor annoyances, mainly down to just rewinding where I knew the game messed me up.

Somehow people are doing it because there are people that have done one life runs already. Capcom should patch for the issues that have been brought up especially the home screen/sleep issues.

Any word on this being updated? LC1 is unplayable for me. I bounce between playing the original carts and this, and the delay is too much, it throws off my muscle memory.

Thoughts about this? Going to buy this at Best Buy for Switch. I remember reading that if you played with a wired controller, there is no issue.

I've been making my way thru it (currently on MM5) via the joycons in a charging grip. Its completely fine and if the trade off is absolutely now slowdown and a more polished experience in comparison to the PS4/XB1 versions, then it's worth it.
If anything, i get more annoyed when the joycons get wireless interference and drop inputs. Seriously, the wireless in these things suck bad :(

Turns out it's even worse on the X collections (at least the first one)

Not necessarily. That's the PS4 version which has more lag than the Switch's, and we don't really have hard numbers on MMLC1's lag on Switch either.

Anecdotally tho, while MMXLC does have noticeable lag, it barely affects me whereas MMLC is close to unplayable.

The PS4's input lag was fine for the classic Legacy Collection. The issue of this thread is that the input lag of the SWITCH version of the Classic Legacy Collection 1 (not 2) is really bad. It's worse than the X Collection's SNES games input lag of 120ish ms (8 frames).

I had no problems with input lag in MMLC, but MMXLC it's very noticeable, and while I don't think it's going to make the game unplayable, it does diminish the experience.

I'm going to pick up the game today and I got a wired controller which is suppose to help with the lag but we will see.

That's a big bummer :/ I wanted to give it a try on the switch. How are the chances those getting fixed ?

If you skipped the X collection due to lag then I wouldn't recommend this one... It's far worse, even when reducing it to the minimum. I'd advice getting it on another platform since the issue is exclusive to Switch, but if it's your only choice then carry on.

At this point pretty much 0.

So, guess what? This game received a 1.01 patch recently. I think it launched a couple weeks ago, though I just updated the game tonight.

And....it fixes nothing. Input lag is still bad. Audio lag is still horrible. And the audio lag still worsens each time you exit to the home screen or put the game in sleep mode.

Digital Eclipse is just the worst. They've almost certainly guaranteed we will never receive good versions of these games on Switch.

Yeah noticed the update too and didn't find any improvements, sigh.
huh. I played through entire MMX1 and never noticed any of this. Seemed awesome to me.
The thread is about the Classic Legacy Collection. The X one also has input lag but it's nowhere as severe as LC1's.

I completely played through all 4 of the collections on switch and really didn't notice anything, maybe some folks are just more observant of it? Or could it be that i played handheld the entire time and the problem was with lag on tv?

I have a question but didn't want to open a new thread for that.

Can I use the code for the MMLC2 in the US retail version with my EU account? Or do I have to change region to do that?
