Yep still nothing, until Apple allow Disney to charge $25 for 4K films it's unlikely to change either, which is a major pain as all of my movie purchases are on itunes

I don't know what's a bigger bullshit. The fact that the movie was filmed in IMAX and we get this, or the fact that I may have to import the Blu-Ray because Disney stopped selling BRs of their movies (except for Star Wars) in my country.
If it doesn't come out before the end of the year, probably not.
It is 100% coming to Netflix.
Disney's deal with Netflix is for movies released through the end of 2018.
Ever since I found out it doesn't support it, it's become my most requested update.
I didn't care for the movie, but I might grab this anyway.

What am I looking for here? I mean it sounds like the IMAX footage isn't being used as source material per your commentary perhaps, which would sure piss me off, but where is that on here.
It is in scope aspect ratio (2.39:1) not IMAX (1.9:1). The imax footage is the source since that is what they shot, but the top and bottom are cropped.
Hm it does say 16x9 too tho, maybe it toggles like previous flicks did? Tho I guess this was filmed 100% on imax huh, so 16x9 is probably just for menus maybe.
UGH what is the point of this shit. Like, seriously, it's not like they've released "imax edition" versions of previous films after the fact, why wouldn't they use it here?
Physical looks miles better than digital. So if there's a movie I really like and plan on rewatching, even if only a handful of times, I'll buy the physical + digital code Bluray.

16:9 just means it's formatted for a 16:9 screen, and the movie has an aspect ratio of 2:39:1 (so black bars).

Disney's been doing this lately. The Last Jedi had an isolated score version that was digital exclusive.

Thank Christ it is in 2.35 and not the imax ratio. You can look at footage side by side and tell that they balanced the frame for scope and not imax. The image was just off in the imax ratio. So much needless info. The scope looks much better.
Also, Disney doing their normal shit of not putting Atmos on the blu when they could. And it will probably have the lower, weird sound levels like all their discs have had for the last few years.

The digital copy that comes with the disc will have it. So you get it still. Just will have to stream as you listen.
It's a shame there isn't a steelbook for just the standard blu ray like there was for Black Panther. And it doesn't seem like the 4K Blu Ray steelbook includes a regular Blu Ray.

Looks like there is a feature length commentary after all. I used to be so much into those back in the dvd days but then the special features seemed to get shittier and shittier until they pretty much disappeared and all you got was promotional shit they showed somewhere else. I'd kill for a movie like this to have a ton of behind the scenes shit.

wtf I just noticed this...This is just like retailer DLC for movies.
At Gamestop you get X costume and Best Buy you get Y costume. The only difference is that each retailer has a different feature and it looks like the Digital one has a 30 minute commentary is best? Might just have to find the clip on youtube or something as I need the physical
Again, for those freaking out about digital exclusives, the physical release will include the digital version as well, so you can still get the exclusive features.

Because they'd rather you buy the digital copy, more profit for them. They also know a section of the fanbase will double-dip when the physical copy releases.
Can't wait to watch this again. Favorite movie of the year thus far. Half tempted to just get it on digital at the end of the month instead of waiting for the Blu-ray next month.
Ragnarok, Homecoming and BP all had 4K + BR in the steelbooks. I don't see why this would be different.
