I cant find the game on the Dutch Nintendo site. Is it coming to Europe or do I have to buy some US eshop monies?

Hey, I'm the developer of the Switch port at LRG and also handling the storefront for it - it is 100% coming for Europe and Aus+NZ, the store page hasn't been approved by NOE yet but we're hoping it'll be soon this week. That one will still have the same 10% preorder discount.

So glad to see this when I booted up the eshop today. Icon looks nice, too.

Now port Breath of Death 1-4 to the Switch. No need to bother with 4-6, those sucked. Just the classics.

Wasn't this the game where the devs were talking about how they didn't recoup their investment due to low sales? If so, hopefully the magic of the eShop gets them back in the black!

Sorry for the OT, but are you guys working on a new game right now? I recall you saying something about a game like CSH but with less characters to improve the writing.

We're starting work on a new game called Rx Machina. It's a comedy where you work at a hospital that uses mechs that miniaturize and enter patients to fight diseases. Some gameplay similarities to CSH.

I've been wanting to try this game forever, and the switch version will make me finally pull the trigger. I can't freaking WAIT for that physical copy to come out! Game looks amazing from everything I've seen.

Physical edition won't be until later (maybe not until 2019).

This is probably more a question to ask on Kickstarter, but will backers get advance notice like with the Sony version?

Decided I didn't want to wait for the physical release to play this game. Added myself to the pre-purchase.

The purchase lagged so much I saw the 'this page with redirect you' message as the eshop tried to process it.

Double dipping to support, it's a shame the PC version sold so poorly. Game is fantastic, hope that you two get to enjoy a similar success story that other indies have been having with Switch lately. You really deserve it

I think the big sticking point for a lot of people is the tone & pacing. Although I spent a lot of time analyzing Chrono Trigger to see how it handled character movement & combat positioning & Phantasy Star was a big influence for plot & setting, I gotta admit, when I think nostalgic JRPGs, I think the Lunar games and I tried to emulate their mix of serious & silly. The result is a game that's more of a cheesy celebration of over-the-top sci-fi/fantasy pulp than the serious game that some people wanted. I feel the Freedom Festival scenario is a good litmus test (and I'll be vague here to avoid spoiling it for people who haven't played the game yet) - it starts out as an homage to stuff like Chrono Trigger & Xenogears, then events start happening & it just gets more and more over-the-top ridiculous. And some people see all this and think "Awesome!" and others think "Stupid!" And both responses are valid because different people want different things from their games.

The other day in an Octopath thread, I'd been gushing about Octopath's battle system—specifically how it challenged the player with its thoughtful combat/encounter design, rather than how (J)RPGs often test the player with dungeon resource attrition, if anything—and someone recommended Cosmic Star Heroine for that.

You've just sold me wholeheartedly with this comparison! I'm an enormous fan of the Lunar series and its charming tone, and between that and the combat, I'm quite excited to get your game in August. The Switch's lack of RPGs is quickly turning into abundance in the coming months.

Awesome news. I backed this on Kickstarter all those years ago and loved it on PC. Any Switch owners who haven't played it absolutely should give it a go, its a great game!

This reminds me I have a free copy from the GAF Essential RPG vote. I said to myself I will finish Phantasy Star 4 first before I play this, and I never finished Phantasy Star 4.

I'm hoping to hear from new Switch players, as I loved this game on Vita. How are you guys liking the battle system? :)

Before Cosmic Star Heroine was planned for Switch I was a big proponent that the game would have been a good fit for Switch audience (Switch caters very clearly to gamers who like the '90s kind of games among other audience).
I will buy it and play it after Octopath Traveler.

Bought it twice on PC and PS4/Vita, and finally played it when it came out on Vita. It's definitely worth a purchase and playthrough, everyone :)

Preordered, I've been waiting for the game since PS4 release. Had to do a search for it on the estore, it wasn't in the "coming soon" section (unless I'm blind).

Question for the developer.....

There is a planet called Nuluuup you travel to later on in the game. On that planet,
Chan gets to enter the shrine where she can take the Gunmancy trial. Upon entering the shrine, the music changes.
Who is the artist that made the music track for this section of the game? The music throughout the entire game has been very very good, but this particular music track KICKS ASS!!!!! Love the the jazzy theme and arrangements. Wish it played in more parts of the game.

HyperDuck SoundWorks (Chris Geehan and Dan Byrne-McCullough) created all of the incredible music in the game :)

(Laura Shigihara did the vocals on the concert track)

HyperDuck also did the OST for Dust:An Elysian Tail, among others.
