With Rocket League being added to the service today and Warhammer Vermintide II within the next 24 hours, I realised Xbox Game Pass will have reached a whopping total of 182 games currently in the catalogue. This on a service which only promises 'over 100 games', so not bad at all.

It now has a solid library which will only grow stronger when Microsoft finally gets its first party act together, with Forza Horizon 4 debuting on the service day one in October.

Full list of games currently on the service below - what are your favourites and recommendations?

As a fan of Ghosts n Goblins and Ghouls n Ghosts back in the day (and Maximo of course), this game is a dream come true. It's a homage to those games, and gets all the basics right but also controls much better than those games - it's all the fun without the frustration.

And of course, this classic:

In my top 3 of last generation, available to play in all its glory with Game Pass. It still totally holds up and is a must play if you missed it.

There are too many great games to even start picking favourites but the ones that I only got through gamepass and played a lot of are Cities Skylines, The Division, and Sea of Thieves

Late Shift was a treat.
Yeah I went into that blind and it was a real weird and fun experience.

I started zombie army trilogy last night with a friend and it was great. Only disappointment is the checkpoints are pretty far apart

It's been great for trying new games you otherwise would never buy and playing some of the oldies. I'm playing Oblivion for the first time in 4K and it's so good.

current members: wasteland 2, sherlock holmes devils daughter, letter quest, late shift, sea of thieves

I actually had no idea it'd gotten up to that many games. The list seemed long when I looked on it on my Xbox, but I kinda assumed there were enough games quietly leaving that it was hovering a little above the 100 number they advertise with.

I really need to try Guacamelee sometime. I've heard a lot of good about it.

Don't sleep on Oxenfree. I guess I gotta play Late Shift.

180 games already? Wow.

They gotta improve the PC selection by like 2000%. My pass expires in 8 days and I'm just not getting enough games for PC to renew it.

I love the idea of Game Pass. But it just seems to me like a Neverending Backlog Generator so I've been hesitant. Maybe I'll sub when Forza Horizon 4 hits.

Phil Spencer acknowledged that in the Giant Bomb interview. I don't think it's officially supported on PC yet, it seems more like a side effect of some of the games being Play Anywhere to where your Xbox Game Pass ends up with some of the games playable on PC. He made it sound like they are going to work on improving the PC catalog massively before they officially support it.

There is no pc selection yet. Xbox game pass is a xbox console service which you can play some titles on PC thanks to another feature from microsoft (play anywhere)

Really surprised by Late Shift, Wasteland 2, and NBA Playgrounds. I wouldn't have outright bought any of them likely, but I'm now open to the idea after playing them.

Tekken Tag 2, Sea of Thieves and Ninja Gaiden Black need shout outs.

It's a ridiculous collection of games for the price.

Shantae and the pirates curse is an amazing game. Different from the other Shantae games but the best one in my opinion. It's not a game you subscribe to gamepads for but sweetens the deal nicely.

Can I give a huge shout out to Cluster Truck. That game is loads better than it has any right to be. I love it.

clustertruck and human fall flat looked perfect for me before trying them out. got bored quite quickly of both

guess its still a good use of gamepass since it saved me money, but still

So many amazing games so I'll limit to games I played first through the service.

Limbo, Battleblock Theater and Bioshock.

Also every GP subscriber should try D4.

Game Pass has been good for me as it gave me the chance to play some Xbox 360 games that I missed out on. Gears trilogy and Darksiders. Still have to play Darksiders 2 and Recore.

I just got an xbox a few days ago, mostly due to game pass and bc. For someone who never had an xbox and has been late to this gen, it's like stepping into a delicious buffet. After trimming down that list to what i really want to play and nothing else, there's still close to 100 games on it.

ABZU!

It's a short, zen diving/swimming with sea life experience (some compare it to journey). Look, I am biased because I used to volunteer at an aquarium, and love
prehistoric reptiles
It's worth checking out! (also, music by Austin Wintory)

The keys to me for Game Pass titles and my interest to keep playing are that it has to grab my attention quickly. It can't have a long intro video or long tutorial. It needs to get me into the gameplay quick. Otherwise I move on to the next thing.

Anyway, I played Bomber Crew today. That was fun. Does have a short tutorial but it kept my attention. Which says a lot.

Also I have gotten into the habit of downloading every new game each month and checking each one out. Data Caps be damned.

I love game pass now. Bomber crew is excellent! The Flame and the flood is also good. Next up hero was a surprise and I got to catch up on dead rising 3. I never tried DR3 because everyone said it was bad but it's great fun. I'm the kind of person that will by an indie because I'm bored and want something fresh. Gamepass handles this for me. I was iffy on the value at first but it's come through for me.

I enjoyed Super Lucky's Tale.

I'm thinking about resubscribing but I'm wondering if anyone's played Sonic CD and Sonic and Knuckles in here? I tried them on PSN PS3 years ago and the input lag was terrible the games were unplayable.

Without gamepass I would have wasted $90 on sea of thieves and state of decay 2......so happy for this service.

Was surprised by all the Star Wars additions.....replaying KOTOR now and happy i don't have to try to find my original disc......that would have been a nightmare lol.

Also homefront was shockingly not terrible. It's mediocre, but fun to just guns blaze with buddies in co-op

Got all the fables queue'd to go once i finish FFXV again, I don't even remember fable all that much. So this is almost like a first dive honestly.

Game Pass is honestly maybe my favorite thing to come out of the current generation. I love it

Currently at about 40 hours into Fallout 4 and really enjoying it. Halo Wars 2 I think is pretty underrated so I'll point that one out as it hasn't been mentioned yet

Gonna jump into game pass once I clear out some of my backlog. Don't need to add 100+ games to that backlog

I was hesitant with the idea of game pass but I really do see things like this as the future of gaming for a lot of studios.

I played a lot of Sea of Thieves back when it launched. I'd like to get back into it, but I don't know anyone who even wants to play it.

I've played a lot of State of Decay 2, as well. I have to take a lot of breaks with that game though, because it tenses me up so much lol.

I played a bit of Late Shift, but I'm not sure why I never finished it. I thought it was really neat. Aren't they making a new game or something? I thought I saw something during E3 that made me go "That reminds me of Late Shift" and someone else said it was by the same guys (or maybe just same publisher?).

finally redeemed my free month that came with the x. + bonus month. Even for someone who buys a lot of games there's a lot here.

Have replayed kotor, and then played for the first time fable anniversary (x enhanced looks pretty good). Then played halo wars 2 campaign. I started super luckys tale but didn't grab me. Started elder scrolls online and think I'm hooked. Sea of thieves is not for me. Wanted to play recore, the division, sod2 and dead rising 3 but I think I'm buying eso now. Send help.

I've played most of the other 'heavy hitters' in gamepass but still a lot left to play here. I have such a ridiculous backlog so I won't resubscribe but I will be back for fh4.

Need to play wasteland 2 and bomber crew. I downloaded them today
