I don't have this TV (I have a Sony x900e) but I can help you with your HDR problem. You have to make sure you have the correct video settings in the control panel. That means limited dynamic range, YBbCr422 or YBbCr420, and 10 or 12 bit color depth. Here are my settings:Bought one yesterday and am pretty happy with it. The HDR content I've seen on from the Roku apps all look great. It's my first UHD HDR TV so I don't really have a reference point except for 20K USD monitors I've used for color grading.
One problem is when I connect my PC to it and try to turn on HDR in Windows 10 it doesn't work and the screen goes black. im also stuck at 30hz. I've got a GTX 970, which says it's capable of HDR, and Dxdiag reads my monitor as HDR capable and UHD at 60hz.
I've tried all the ports, so maybe it's my HDMI cable? I thought all HDMI cables are supposed to support HDMI 2.0?
They had one of these in the back room of Nebraska Furniture Mart for $609. The 65" version. Someone else canceled their order, it wasn't even a return.
I couldn't resist at that price! I was gonna wait for HDMI 2.1, but fuck it.
Loving it so far. Bone X putting in the work now.Holy cow, that's a steal. I thought I did well at just under $800 for a model that was on display in Best Buy for a couple of weeks.
That's seriously too damn good of a deal. That's less than I paid for my 55" model. Lucky! They had one of these in the back room of Nebraska Furniture Mart for $609. The 65" version. Someone else canceled their order, it wasn't even a return.

Nebraska Furniture Mart back room is my favorite. I also paid $5500 for a 77" LG G6 last year. Xbone X for $340 a couple months after launch. That's seriously too damn good of a deal. That's less than I paid for my 55" model. Lucky!
Anyone else picture zoomed in too much?
Can't really find more options to zoom out picture. All it gives me is auto normal stretch and direct, none of which zooms it back out.
Playing destiny 2 is rough, because it already has terrible Fov, but it was pretty perfect on my 43" tv
I wish TLC made an affordable 100 inch or 120 inch.
I would happily pay $8000 for a 100 inch that was 4 50 inches put together or $12000 for a 120 inch 8k tv that was basically four 60 inches put together.
Hmmm. Amazon UK sell them but finding them in stores may be tricky. Their site doesn't list any retailers in the UK either.Does anyone know if these are in the UK?
Wanna view them to see what they are like...

In terms of features yes, that's what I have read. In terms of PQ I assume they are equal but I could be wrong. That said trying to find a UK based review is very difficult also. Can't help but think something like Hisense may be a better alternative for a budget 4K tv.
Sent my 605 in for repair, they said they'll probably just give me the money back I'll do the 615 then. How's the banding on that compared to the 605?
Still not avaible in the EU right?
Is there at least something comparable quality/price wise?
If not how much more would it cost to import one?

I'm from EU, Lithuania to be exact, and one of the retailers here has 11 Tcl models for sale.
I'm checking in this thread because the p607 thread is more or less dead. Anyone know if there's a fix to broken tone mapping on the p607/605? Some recent Roku update has seemed to have completely broken it for video apps (Netflix, Vudu, etc). This happens with the built in Roku apps, and even running through Xbox One S and PS4. 4K UHD discs on Xbox One S look fine, and games on PS4 Pro look fine. But any streaming apps that have HDR/DV have completely broken tone mapping (washed out entirely and dark). This used to not be a problem at all. Used to be gorgeous and is now completely broken. Any idea how to fix?
I bought a 55" R615 recently and have been experiencing this same thing. This is my first time owning an HDR/DV-capable TV, and I know it's supposed to be an adjustment compared to what most people are used to, but I can't imagine content is supposed to look this dark (and yeah, I'd say seemingly washed out). After adjusting everything per Rtings' calibration settings, HDR and DV content from Netflix and Amazon was nigh-on unwatchable. Had to up the backlight significantly and go with a brighter HDR setting, and it's still much darker than regular content. Certainly not how I'd want to watch anything.
(Maybe I'll take some pictures later when I have a chance to see if it's just me.)

Really? Any chance you can ask them if one of them is the 6 series? Or the one from 2017?

Not all 4k is filmed the same, all the Marvel shows look like ass compared to something like Planet Earth 2 both in 4k.Funny enough, Stranger Things is HDR and, IMO, looked considerably worse than Last Chance U
Does planet earth 2 look good on Netflix? I was thinking about buying it on Blu-ray at some point, forgot it was on NetflixNot all 4k is filmed the same, all the Marvel shows look like ass compared to something like Planet Earth 2 both in 4k.
I thought it looked great. I don't think it has hdr though on the Netflix version and the 4k bluray would look even better.Does planet earth 2 look good on Netflix? I was thinking about buying it on Blu-ray at some point, forgot it was on Netflix
