this has been going on for a while. Netanyahu said holding grudges against Neo Nazis is silly as long as they only hate other minorities like Muslims and not Jews. In fact, Israel is especially supportive of Neo Nazis and has been for a while.

The Azov battalion is problematic in many of their views. Their origin as a military entity stems from the fact in the early days of the Russian Invasion in Ukraine the Ukrainian Government was in shambles trying to respond so many Civilian based Militias took up arms and fought on behalf of the Government. In some cases much more of Ukraine would have fallen without those civilian Militia. Once the Government finally got its footing and took control of all operations they gave official status to the Militia groups in the War against Russia.

Money and the pursuit of it doesn't care about ideology. Azov poses no actual danger to Israel and Israel knows it/ They are using Israeli weapons to kill Russians. Israel is very happy to play all sides. Arm Ukraine to kill Russians, Ally with Russia to oppose Iran. etc.

The Israeli government is selling arms. Your need to refer to them as just "Jewish people" and comment on them wanting to play the victim is the exact language antisemites use to justify their hate of Jewish people by not distinguishing between Israel and Jews. For many Jewish people like myself, the Israeli government is the enemy of the Jewish people due to their actions.
Ukrainian Right Wing Extremists are sort of a unique bunch. The ideology originated from a Free Ukraine Movement prior to WWII that wanted Ukraine free from the Soviet Union. WWII broke out so it made sense to them to ally with the Germans who were coming to invade the Soviet Union. So they got branded as Nazi Sympathizers when it was more a case of Ultra nationalism that just did the age old the enemy of my enemy is my friend. There is no denying there are Pro-Nazi elements in the movement though its usually overstated by Russia for propaganda effects.

Azov is also openly financed by one of the richest jewish ex-governors of the region and is probably one of the most well organized battalions. Most people join it because it's so effective. I'm not denying that neo-nazi elements exist there, but it's way more complex that what Russian propaganda is trying to sell.No clue which post you're talking about that would somehow absolve the Azov battallion.
