Do we know the cops name yet? They need to be held accountable or preferably fired if things really played out the way they look to have.

That guy looks and sounds like the perfect stereotype of a racist white redneck.

Racists are stupid. Reminds me of that one time racists were mad that Marc Anthony sang the national anthem at a Yankees game despite the fact that he was born in New York and is of Puerto Rican decent and Puerto Rico being a U.S. territory.

Has the idiot been identified?

I'm talking about the one in the blue shirt for now.

Has the cop been identified? Hope they both get fired what the fuck. Could you imagine if that was a black man yelling at a white woman how the cop would react?

According to the Cook County Forest Preserve Twitter - the cop got reassigned and the drunk moron got arrested

What a dumbfuck. Puerto Rico is part of the US and every Puerto Rican is born a US citizen. They're as American as everyone else.

But not like facts matter to these racists.

I would get that officer's badge number and report him to the county/mayor, especially with video evidence. Absolutely unacceptable and these people should be called out and shamed.
I gotta say, coming into this thread, I was not prepared for how literal 'cop does nothing' was.

He was watching the whole thing the entire time no more than three feet away.

I was at most expecting the incident > she goes to cop > cop waives her off.
I was not expecting the cop to literally be standing right there.

Love how the cop steps up when the guy gets involved.

I also love how when the 2nd guy tells the fool to Shut the Fuck Up, the fool screams out 'Im Done!'

It's almost as if..... They can't take what they dish out and flee at the first sign of conflict......

But yet we're told to hug and love them is the proper response.

This country can get fucked in all honesty, oh wait, it already is

I bet if she or a friend punched that idiot's lights out, that cop would gladly step in and arrest her. He would even call for back up. Fucking scum.
Call for backup yes. I doubt he'd get involved. Looks like a coward. I thought the dude at the end telling the old man to shut the fuck up was going to beat the old man's ass and the coward cop still just stood there, not saying a thing.

I'm beside myself that this finally happened to a Rican. It's hilarious because it just proves how fucking dumb these people are. Dude really asked if she was a citizen. Like c'mon bruh you learn this shit in like 2nd grade that Puerto Rico is a territory (ahem modern-day colony ahem) of the United States.

Also that cop deserves to be fired. Did absolutely nothing to protect this woman when dude was screaming in her face. Literally did shit but be a fucking bystander with a badge.

The racist trump fucker dipshit flees like a small mouse as soon as someone aggressive shows up and tells him to SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Let this be a lesson to you all. Do not reason with these assholes. It didn't work above with the lady and it wont work in the future. Just keep shouting STFU and GTFO racist motherfuckers until they leave. Guaranteed to work.

How would you want him to react in that situation? I mean the only crime here is being drunk and disorderly or something similar. I'm kinda surprised that the general consensus is that the cop should be fired for this. He probably should have supported the woman, but the situation seemed to get resolved without any physical violence, no guns being drawn, isn't this a good outcome?

Uhhh there was only a positive outcome because other officers came and intervened to arrest him unlike this first jackass who watched it escalate.

Are you fucking kidding me? An officer continually watched this racist asshole get in her face. He was obvioualy drunk in public and harassing her.

Reading about this is disgusting. When she started asking for help the officer just started to walk away. He just allowed a citizen to be abused and gave 0 cares. The guy should be tried for that, in the UK if an officer ignores a crime they commit an offense. Does that not happen in the USA also?

If the officer can't handle a drunk man then how do you expect him to handle a robbery or fight? A cop that shys away from an old drunk man is useless at fighting crime and therefore unfit for the role.

Lmao, UK police training is like MIT compared to what the morons in the US get. Punishment for their offenses is of course also less stringent

Oh, I dunno, arrest the drunk and disorderly person invading the space she paid for.

What's the matter with you?

Like you said, Drunk and disorderly is a crime. The asshole should have been arrested immideately, the cop didn't even warn him though. No way can this cop be counted on to protect and serve the community.
Unfortunately it's doubtful much will be done. Was the guy suspended earlier, or just after this became public?

Trespassing? That was her picnic shelter that she reserved and he was refusing to leave, plus likely Publix drunkenness
