Pathetic vultures.

At least come up with some original movies instead of churning out safe cash grabs every year before you go and do this.
Given PureFlix's original films being gobshite like God's Not Dead and Old Fashioned, it would still be shit.

Besides, this goes well with their other tragedy-exploiting film, I'm Not Ashamed, which was about Columbine.

Coach can be played by Dwayne Johnson. The cave is alive and haunted for some reason. Add some big explosions as the kids and coach barely make it out of the cave at the end.

Next summer's Hollywood blockbuster right there.

Pure Flix huh?

On an unrelated note, how did that movie about the Chile miners turn out?

Obviously they found the Judeo-Christian God in the cave and he personally guided the divers to the children.

Also holy fuck, a diver actually died in the rescue effort, this is in such poor taste.
Only the brave had all the people die. That movie put in perspective just how heroic fire fighters are and how brave that team was. It showed how they died heroes and should be remembered for there brave actions.

Honesly I have no problem with Hollywood adapting tragedies becuase it helps shine a light on the real heroes that helped in this hard times. If they make this movie right then it can be really fucking good and emotional and show you how heroic every single person was in this mission.

But it's the gods not dead poeple... so will see

I'm waiting for the sequel

In which the billionaire character, throwing a tantrum because his super awesome submarine wasn't needed, kidnaps and dumps some random other kids in a cave so that he can be the hero this time.

I personally think any film adaptation should spend a not insignificant amount of time focusing on Saman Kunan, the Thai diver who died during the rescue efforts. The bravery of him and the other rescuers is the kind of thing that is likely to be overlooked.

I feel it's insensitive to jump on this so quickly, but I enjoy quality movies based in real events, and it's not a bad setting provided that it respects the hero who died and others who participated in the effort.

I can't believe anyone is surprised by this.

And unfortunately I also wouldn't be surprised if certain people had disguised as press or volunteers while it was going on.

That is, if they don't change all the heroes to white people. Or doing it like Argo, claiming everything is USA USA USA USA USA while completely eliminates the role many other non-USA citizens played in the crisis, some of them really significant too.

In other words, don't get your hopes up.

A Hollywood movie would be hard pushed to be more offensive to Thailand than the King and I, but I wouldn't be surprised. If there is to be a movie, Thai filmmakers can easily do it themselves, Bad Genius last year was superb.

I am so shocked

Now how can we shove white people at the forefront? Does it have to be in Thailand? Okay, what if it was their coach was a white guy who went to Thailand to "get away"?

What is that? That guy that helped coordinate the rescue was white?! PERFECT!
There's been a lot of articles here about a local man (Finland) Mikko Paasi who is one of the divers rescuing them, he's been hailed as a hero. Hoping they make him the main character!

I miss the pre-Trump Hollywood. A Hollywood with morals. A compassionate, loving Hollywood that you could count on to do the right thing.

It feels like since the election all Hollywood cares about is money. It's a damn shame.

Ah yeah, I still remember those days. Hollywood sure was a beacon of light. Can't believe it's already almost two years since they made movies purely for art or telling compassionate stories, spreading love all over.

I mean, I get it. And I do want a movie about this. It's a riveting story with a miraculous ending (although there was a tragedy along the way). But yeah, one would wish there was some breathing room.

Will they rewrite the plot so glorious savour ELON MUSK uses his submarine; the metaphorical extension of his phallic and capitalist might to show that earthly orifice who's boss?
