LMAO Octopus Suda won the heavymetalweight strap

No spider walk though :/

Oh, that's her. I loved the whole angle.
Maki Ito winning the belt from her would make total sense and she's already talking about it on twitter.
I want to see Sanshiro Takagi actually appear at some idol events and protecting Suda.

205 Live main event was pretty good. I really don't like match finishers where the baby face just hits their finisher out of nowhere and wins when they're getting their ass kicked though.

I still think Hideo has been consistently a better wrestler then Shinsuke in the WWE

Surely Asuka is getting the belt after looking like a geek against Carmella on multiple occasions?
No. Carmella is going to win on Sunday when James slips her the hairspray through the cage or something. The sharkcage stipulation never works out for the babyface. Ever.

Asuka's career on the main roster is pretty much toast on Sunday. I hope Triple H can get her back to NXT where she can shine again.

The cards for both TJPW shows next week have now been released.

7/16 from Osaka airs on 7/19 on DDT Universe:
Miyu Yamashita & Shoko Nakajima vs Yuu & Hyper Misao
Sakisama & Azusa Christie vs Yuna Manase & Hikari
Yuka Sakazaki vs Maki Ito
Nodoka Oneesan & Yuki Aino vs Mizuki & Yuki Kamifuku
Rika Tatsumi vs Hinano
Miu vs Raku

7/21 from Shinkiba 1st Ring, airs live on DDT Universe at 12:00 JST / 05:00 CET / 23:00 EDT:
Yuu & Nodoka Oneesan vs Yuka Sakazaki & Rika Tatsumi
Miyu Yamashita & Maki Ito & Mizuki vs Sakisama & Azusa Christie & Martha
Shoko Nakajima vs Yuki Aino
Hyper Misao vs Yuki Kamifuku vs Hikari
Yuna Manase vs Hinano
Miu vs Raku

Osaka:
I'm very much into Hyper Misao being in the main event.
Hikari already being in another match against NEO Biishiki-gun sounds good, she did quite well with them last week.
Yuka Sakazaki/Maki Ito is a first time match-up.

Shinkiba:
I like having the semi-finalists of the TPC tag in the main event, you don't need to run Yuu vs Miyu on every show until Korakuen.
Ito Respect Army & Miyu teaming again already and against NEO Biishiki-gun including Martha? Yes, please.

Hiromu's back in Japan.

On July 7, during the G1 Special in San Francisco event, Hiromu Takahashi sustained a neck injury and was taken to a San Francisco hospital for evaluation.

Takahashi was able to return to Japan today, and will proceed with treatment. We apologize for the delay in publishing this update, which was in order to ensure smooth and efficient transit for Takahashi at the airport. We deeply appreciate our fans' concerns. Please stay tuned to https://www.njpw1972.com/ or further updates.

They had to withhold the update to stop people trying to see him at the airport, a number of fans already tracked down his hospital room and were bothering Tiger Hattori.

Glad he's returning home - if you recall Honma was unable to be moved for months and that was in Japan, let alone an international flight.

It's a long way away and it won't happen but I want Rossy to set up a Konami/AZM vs Tam/Kid finals for the tag league this year.

It's cool to see Hinano getting more singles matches against veteran talent otherwise I'm looking forward to both main events and Yuka/Maki. I wonder where they're going with NEO Biishiki-gun? I imagine they'll win the first match then lose the second leading to Asuza blaming Matha again, but I hope the angle's not over within a show like what happened with Kamifuku.

I heard from someone that flying is heavily discouraged with a broken neck as there's a fear of blood clots forming. If that's true hopefully his injury is not as bad as first feared

Yeah, I forgot that Hinano only had her first singles match last month at the UUG show.
I want Hikari to join NEO Biishiki-gun more than I want Hinano to become Hyper Misao's sidekick at this point.
I do think they will do something to change NEO Biishiki-gun up soon but I'm not sure in what form.

They probably wanted to get Hiromu back to Japan ASAP once NJPW realized what the cost of healthcare in America is.

But I think it's clear that, while every neck injury is serious, he's avoided a career threatening Honma/Steve Austin/Edge type neck injury.

These backyard wrestling clips are killing me, just like they're killing themselves.

I was not prepared for the mountain dew enhanced scissor kick

Halfway through the GLOW season premiere and man, Sam's fit is impeccable. Need to head out to Goodwill asap and find me some nice 80s shirts.
