Dr. Eggman as a Bowser Jr. echo.

Wait, why is Louie considered evil?

In Pikmin 2 its assumed that the final boss, the Titan Dweevil, is actually controlled by Louie. In Pikmin 3, once you rescue him once, he will steal all of your food the next day. If you don't find him or any food that day, you will immediately suffer a game over.

I feel like this is actually downplaying his actions a bit.

To start, Louie is the entire reason the company is in debt in the first place. He's the one who ate all of the carrot shipment, not the 'space bunny' as he claimed. After you come back to rescue him, he repays you by commanding the Titan Dweevil to murder you; or at least, it's implied that's what he's trying to do. E-mails in the game note that Louie spent a lot of time playing with bugs as a kid, and knows how to control them. His treasure title is "King of Bugs". Olimar even wonders to himself if Louie was controlling the final boss or not. Pretty bad stuff already.

Your characters need juice to survive. Without it, they'll starve. As long as you have juice reserves, you can keep playing the game. What happens when you rescue Louie? He steals ALL of your juice reserves, leaving you to starve! I was so angry when that happened, though I laugh when thinking about it now. He's just so evil!

Louie is basically the secret villain of the Pikmin series. He's an evil bastard.

Absolutely. One of the most evil Nintendo characters, period.

Though he's not very high on my list, if we were to get a second playable Pikmin character I'd want it to be him. Honestly, I think he'd be great as another costume for Olimar.

It's funny, as I finished posting that, I felt like I already knew the answer. I've played Pikmin 3 but never finished 2, though I have heard about that, I just never considered Louie villainous,... until now.

Heeeyyy cut him some slack for this one!
He thought he was captured! He did the smart thing by running away when he could...granted he didn't need to steal their food (or the rubber duck??) since he's able to survive on his own like he did in Pikmin 2. The glutton.

Yeah, he didn't have to steal from you at all; he knows how to survive on the planet. Hell, even if he was determined to steal, he could have left enough juice for the three of them! Instead he had to take all of it... the jerk!

And? That doesn't have any bearing on Smash. If Daisy got a Daisy Amiibo... it'd still just be Daisy. Smash would just read that Amiibo differently.

The Mario Party Star Rush Daisy amiibo also works with Smash Ultimate. Also, it's important that a Daisy amiibo doesn't give you Peach related content. 8 Daisies should be possible.

This is still completely irrelevant to the point that amiibo are read differently on a game by game basis and that a Daisy amiibo could still have been read as an alt costume version of another character in Smash.

Yeah, it got really annoying in the last two gens with how they took the spotlight of the new pokemon in the region. I needed to do a no Kanto pokemon rule in my last nuzlocke because they started comprising of half my team.

I am really hoping Gamefreak has just been wanting to do a Gen 1 remake again for at least 5 years now, and now that it's out of their system we'll go back to reduced levels of Kanto pandering. I'm personally hoping for Gen 5 levels where it is strictly homages at best, but will settle for Gen 4 levels where a very small amount of Kanto Pokemon get new evolutions.

There's four amiibo identifiers.

Series ID (Mario Series, Smash series etc.)

Character ID (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Link)

Character ID Detail (Dr Mario, Corrin Player 2, Toon Link)

Numbering ID (Mario Gold Edition, Wedding Mario)

For Smash, it looks at the base character ID for Corrin and such so all Corrin amiibo work.

That's all good and all but any Daisy Amiibo that would come out to tie into Smash still wouldn't necessarily prevent the game from reading it for the purposes of an alternate costume. It's pointless to discuss because we have no reliable evidence whatsoever that she was always intended to be a separate character from day one.

Possibly attaching two amiibo ID's to one character? Hmm...not possible to be done in the Smash 4 codebase.

They really need something to do about the lighting. Anything yellowish(Bowser, Pickachu, now this) look so washed out and flat.
So it's accurate to the 3DS Pokemon games :P

But yeah, after nailing their looks in Smash 4, it's a bit weird to see this happening. Hope they might be able to touch it up before release.

Can we get Rotomdex as an echo-assist trophy of Nintendogs? He can cover the screen like in S/M and be extra annoying. It's perfect because he's the one Pokémon that won't fit into a pokeball.
