Not a fan, often the marriage just becomes background noise or leverage for a villain.

The argument was that creators were trapped by the marriage and had to write a relationship whether they had any ideas for it or not. Conversely, Spencer bringing them back together means he has ideas for them as a couple beyond "MJ gets kidnapped."

One More Day erased?

I always been a fan of Peter dating somebody in the business, makes too much sense. If it was me Spiderman and She Hulk would be a thing, the jokes would be incredible

I'm not wild about it. Practically every other super hero dates other super heroes. It makes Spider-Man too similar to other heroes...

Yeah but they have more agency and have other shit going on. MJ tends to be just Spiderman's woman, and maybe some light acting or modeling to get out the house

The art is so bad and unpleasant omfg. John Romita and John Buscema would cringe to death if they could see how shitty Marvel Comic's art has become nowadays. Or at least 95% of it, wich is the main reason I don't bother with their new stuff anymore. And because they reboot stuff like every year wtf.

Like I said earlier...

As for MJ's job, do we know what she's doing these days now that she isn't working for Tony Stark?

The thing I liked about the whole MJ situation was the build-up: going from Gwen, to trusting MJ more each passing day, MJ opening about her past, the confession she knew Pete was Spider-Man when Puma attacked... Putting them back together doesn't give all that back (unless I missed something and it does, lolcomics amirite)

He didn't date Silk either I think, they thankfully immediately forgot about the pheromone BS that made them horny in each others' presence.

it was the begining of something that would have been beautiful. I take solace in the knowledge in EArth-87t677-Beta they are happily married with kids

Spiderman needs to be have a polyamorous deal with MJ; she is with him without the mask, but then he also dates superheroes while wearing the costume.
Mary Jane have the same deal, but with supermodels. I say it is a win-win all around.

As if the issue wasn't good enough, The Lizard is gonna be Peter's teacher! I'm even more in after seeing that.

The art in Invincible was the deterrent for me and why I never got into it. Not a fan at all.

Not a fan, often the marriage just becomes background noise or leverage for a villain.

That rarely happened outside of the Venom and Goblin stuff, and with the Goblin stories it often enhanced the dynamic. Him dating random folks didn't really change anything since they just used it as an excuse.

The marriage worked for so many years because it was a super hero with an understanding wife, who supported him, was often an anchor, and also his backup in many situations dealing with his identity. The marriage only became a problem really when they did the nonsense with Peter revealing his identity to the world, which just put cross hairs on everyone of his family and forced them to shove his family into more stories, where as before they only needed to use MJ and May when it was really needed. Plenty of stories also worked better with having Peter married, created different dynamic from the constant super hero "troubled relationship" trope.

Instead after OMD we had constant pity party Peter having to deal with his failed relationships.

I'm happy about this, but not getting invested yet. I really hope it sticks. MJ and Peter just felt complete to me.
