Drew Carey is now my milkshake duck.
Dumb question: is that penalty for the customer or the performer? It's a bullshit law either way, but it seems even more fucked up that someone touches her and she gets arrested.

I'm willing to bet this is political.

I don't think it's a set-up because it's too stupid. This will make it worse, not make it go away. I'd want to keep her out of the headlines until after the midtrerms if I was wanting to help Trump.

Trump has been all about stupid. See how he has been talking about Putin recently.

Who the fuck setup this operation

Who goes, yeah strip club touching has gotten out of hand
These women "sexual objects" need to be protected for the good of the people

Let's set up a sting to catch these objects before the perverts lay a hand on them..
*Plot Twist*

Arrest them, not save them

We've moved beyond harassing political opponents into arresting territory.

Guys. America is nearly completely fascist-corporatist now.

I'm curious to see what Trump's tweet about this will be, because you know even if he orchestrated this he will tweet about it.

This was a setup for sure. Law Enforcement was notified she would be there and they put a sting in place. No touch rules are very common but have never heard of the performer being arrested because they were touched.

congrats USA
You seem to have learnt from your big brother Russia.

Let's just hope she doesn't have any "accident" in jail.

This is SUPER useful appropriation of police, prosecution, and associated taxpayer funds. I mean this is really important stuff right here, holy shit.

Because you know what is the best type of government? One that legislates morality and can't even fix bridges or supply clean water in many cases. Brilliant.

Why would it be illegal to be touched in the first place? What sort of sexist bullshit law is that?
Many States have a look but don't touch law in place. They are there to dance etc. not be fondled etc. It can be viewed as sexist but it does offer the Dancers a lot of protection from the very shitty patrons

^ But they're charging the person being touched.

So who is the victim in this scenario?

The guy who touched her is about to get every facet of his life exposed. I'd feel bad for him if he's not a plant except for the fact that he touched a woman while she was performing seemingly without her consent.

I can understand a strip club having a no (inappropriate) touching rule but a law that can lead to arrests of the performer? Dear gawd. It should be the other way around, if anything.

I imagine they are pursuing an extremely loose interpretation of prostitution or something as she apparently allowed the non sexual touch.

The police isn't privatized. Gun nuts are just you're average citizens who have existed long before Trump. And a bunch of tiki torch carrying virgins are hardly an army.
They all (+ICE) add up to a very oppressive environment in a lot of places.

Though not sure what privatization has to do with anything. It's enough that these groups/organizations exist and are not cracked down on.

The reports say she "allowed" him to touch her. All they need is one witness saying she gave permission, even just a nod, to the customer and they will probably twist into prostitution (as she was being paid by him as a customer and he got physical sexual gratification). Will be interesting to see of the customer got arrested either for touching or solicitation though; maybe it was just boys being boys...

This is really scary. This couldn't be a more obvious setup: a rarely enforced, ridiculous law with police right there at the strip club to arrest her. There's simply no way this wasn't political. The only question is, was it a local Trumpist hoping to please Dear Leader, or was Trump stupid and vicious enough to pursue this?

This screams set up. Wow. Everyone involved needs to be outed. Probably a direct line of command to the WH.

I wouldn't be surprised if the White House runs its own little intelligence operation to effectuate things like this, probably through DHS.

We also had the curious story of a border patrol agent making a human intelligence approach to NYT reporter Ali Watkins to collect on her sources and methods, implying she was already being investigated.

This administration is obsessed with leaks, has a siege mentality, an irrational assessment of its enemies and consistently pushes ethical norms... surely they have something akin to Nixon's Plumbers in place?

According to the AP report, she collects tips in her titties and garter belt. Of course she allowed people to touch her. That isn't something she would have ever have to worry about anywhere else.

I've seen her stage show, it's a good stage show as far as dancers go, but nothing risque enough to warrant cops being there in the first place. This was so clearly a setup.
