Funko has obtained the Pokemon license [Up: Pikachu is Target exclusive]

This has not been officially announced yet, however, a user on the Funko Reddit randomly found a Pikachu Pop figure at a Target in Ohio. This was apparently not supposed to leave the warehouse yet, let alone be sold to the public, so an announcement is likely happening very soon.

No matter what your thoughts might be on Funko products, this is pretty big.

It should be noted that the Pikachu Pop is a Target-exclusive. Whether or not that means that all Funko Pokemon products are exclusive to Target is not yet known but the rumor is that they will also be receiving a 10" version as well.

Keep in mind that this means more than Pop figures. There is a good chance that there will be other products as well, such as Mystery Minis (a blind box toy line) and Dorbz. Examples of those below:

One day I will enter in a thread like this and one of the examples will be a Funk Platy and I will not even blink at the realisation that I was sold to funko

Well great, now I get to see terrible looking Funko Pokemon figures that I'm sure one of my friends won't shut up about.

I really dislike the Pop! line of figures, but they do make some genuinely nice stuff sometimes. Had to stop myself from picking these up when I was out one day.

I'm willing to bet it's just a matter of time. Nintendo's licensing game is just slow

Finally! Gonna be super hard to get though.

I always admire how you deal with the endless Funko hate, Zeo. One of the few brave ones to venture out of the OT into the sea of anger over $10 plastic figures.

Hate their design, but good for the people who want a little collectible of their favorite character. Not all of us can put down 80$ for a scale figure.

Haha. It's annoying how angry some people can get over $8 toys but this is pretty big news and it sucks to have it relegated to the Funko OT. It is what it is.

I bought the D.va one off Amazon and the paint job was horrible I am never getting any more of them again
