That's some catch, that catch-22

At least Garber and all learned from the ongoing NYCFC fiasco: no stadium, no club. NYCFC is apparently, once again, looking at the same site across from Yankee Stadium that didn't want them the first go around. Just suck it up and build somewhere on Long Island near the LIRR already. Tired of watching players trip all over the field at Yankee Stadium. Same with the Revs, though their issue is the Krafts being cheap as all hell.

Real talk, I'd rather not have a Miami team if they can't at least get a deal done before they start playing.

The Union won a road game!

CJ Sapong might have a concussion and miss a few weeks!

Everything is coming up Milhouse!

So turns out Precourt needs a firm yes vote by Election Day in November. There are challengers emerging from the woodwork in Austin opposed to his stadium at McKalla Place running against council members who are all for it.

Their attempts to not politicize this thing are failing.

We signed a defender!

Totally timely on this one, guys. AND he's from first division of Honduras via the third division of Argentina - SO YOU KNOW HE'S GOOD.

Actually, they could've pulled someone from the stands last night and they would've done better than what was out there.

I'm so excited for Hartford Athletic

More than I thought I'd be. I can believe the revs minor league affiliate is going to have a better stadium situation than they are

Soccer specific, city location, plays on grass, surrounding area being redeveloped

It's going to be cheap like in the 40m range i think in total and renderings sort of make it look like a mid table Scottish league venue but still.. I'm pumped.

That's really nice looking. I love that. Two stands and a third that seems specifically built for a supporter's group.

So. Miami commissioners meeting last night went awful for Beckham and MLS. I'll get more info on it soon but they got hammered all night and bailed out by a motion to defer to a special meeting next week.

The stadium deal might also have to go on the November ballot. That's 60 to 90 days from now, right? /s

That's gorgeous and reminds me of Keyworth. You don't need a lot when it's home. <3

The Detroit News gave what I believe is the first mainstream press attention to Detroit City FC's attempts to go pro and frustrations with the obstructions in their path. It's a great read: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/s...trained-its-semi-pro-soccer-status/782886002/

There was this old offside or not offside video where a goalkeeper was holding the ball and the attackers were running back towards their half. He punts it straight into the back of this guy's head and the ball redirects backwards over the keeper into the goal. The attacker is sprawled out on the ground while this is happening.

Holy shit, Davies. What a fucking goal

he is too good for this fucking joke of a team.

we have the greatest talent in canadian soccer history in our team and the FO is sitting on their bums doing nothing to capitalize on the goldmine of talent davies is. nothing in the way of surrounding alphonso with other good players

glad he'll be leaving soon because we suck and he's gotta go somewhere that will properly facilitate his development. but also sad he'll be leaving soon because we'll suck even more.

DC United: thanks for the 3 points ,whitecaps !"

Lol

canadian things.

the kid's surrounded by 4 players, turns them all and just picks out that far corner with ease. we are not worthy

He's amazingly good, which makes the fact he doesn't play for the USA hurt even more.

Davies is gonna be something someday, dude's gonna wind up winning UCL or something.
