He's right. Mass immigration does irrevocably change culture. In America at least our culture has been improved by immigration.

Cool. What's your point then? You could say that about any number of white supremacist statements. Doesn't really mean you have a point worth making or defending. If you had some stats or something with a source it would be worth posting just from a knowledge perspective but just saying "many people also think that" doesn't really have any value.

I need to have a point besides the "don't dodge this" message I've already stated? Twice? Everyone already knows these stats and incidents. If you can't figure it out, I'm still not your google.

New Yawk City!
BARK, DOG. But goddamn, he's right at home though with the ugly racist nationalism taking hold in parts of Europe too. What a terrible way to help our allies on the continent who want to fight that trend.

So I was actually reading about Hungarians as an ethnic group earlier today, just for shits and giggles. It's hilarious to me how you have racist idiots who don't seem to realise how certain groups ended up where they are now, and where they originally migrated from (in relative historical terms).

"Changed the fabric of Europe..."

Ok buddy. What if I told you that "fabric" has been changing and being added to for thousands of fucking years you moronic fuck?

They aren't immigrants, they are refugees. The alternative for many of them is "death". I don't think he realizes that.

just report the derail and move on.
No no. There's no need to report Diz. He's not derailing.

The point he's making (hopefully i'm not putting words in his mouth) Is about the fucking awful rise in extreme anti-immigration sentiment throughout Europe.

It is after all ,the reason Brexit happened.

I hate this world.

Remember when he used to pretend this was just about illegal immigration and talked about the big beautiful door they would have for that?

It has a single external border. People usually are referring to the EU when they talk about "Europe" politically.
To add to that EU was also founded to be seen and act as "one country" worldwide. Sadly this doesn't work out so well so far because each state still has their own governments etc, I've been saying it since its inception, this will never work when states (countries) aren't willing to give up their regional and local governments in favor of something more centralized AND more democratic. Every law has to go through the people of this union, true democracy, anything else will never work and only lead to ruin and doom (see, ironically, the current state of the USA)

The frustrating thing about talking to other liberals on the Internet is that a lot of us act like pointing out that racism might be the reason a hugely significant amount of people feel a certain way about something magically nullifies those peoples' feelings. It doesn't. The ballot doesn't care why you tick a certain box.

Endlessly repeating "That's racist!" doesn't change things. I understand how you feel.

If Trump has taught me one thing, it's that doctors have been fucking lying to me my whole life.

You can be an obese, pill popping (for his hair), 4 hour of sleep a night getting, constant raging, 12 Diet Coke a day drinking, McDonald's every day eating mother fucking still so somehow not have your heart explode in your 70s.

He's fueled by pure, unfiltered hatred and his heart is inside an egg inside a duck inside a well atop a mountain in Siberia where only his master Vlad can get to it when he allows Trump to die.

That's why the term Liberal needs to die.

It's ironic that Trump thinks Europe isn't paying into NATO enough because it seems to me that them being the ones that have to deal with the fallout of decades of American military adventurism in the middle east is a pretty huge price to pay.

I think Trump's secret is the lack of consequences. He doesn't have to worry about anything--affairs, treason, underage sex parties. The lack of stress probably added another 20 years onto his life.

He loves how Europe brutally colonized much of the world but hates immigrants to Europe or it's colonies... what changed?

Yeah, sadly. Lots of racism everywhere in the world

Is xenophobic vs rasicst arguing about semantics? I mean one can be both, but also just one or the other I think. For instance, there is a lot of anti-refugee sentiment in Finland (my home country) but it's not just towards "brown and black" people but also to white as fuck russians etc.

Agreed, and I also don't get why European leaders don't tell him this with full clarity.
At least it doesn't seem like they would?

They really don't know how to handle him.

If I was in that position and Trump would ask me to pay 4% I'd say we're cutting it to 0.5% just to spite him, if he doesn't like it he can gtfo

This how you deal with mafia, don't you?

Exactly how I feel about the situation although unfortunately I very rarely see this point coming up in online arguments.

Probably because them openly insinuating that immigration is a burden to Europe in any way would be controversial.

Yeah. Demonizing rhetoric towards people living in red states is somewhat common on this website and is often pretty close to how some Europeans describe refugees: namely, that they're sexist, uneducated, and too religious.

The fact is, no one wants to deal with lots of people that don't think like they do. While racism is undoubtedly a significant component of this angst, describing it as the only cause mischaracterizes what's happening here. The racists are the front lines, but their support comes from a wider pool who stand silently in the background.

Sadly this is a sentiment that is well represented in many parts of Europe, especially in Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, heck, Central and Eastern Europe in general. I don't even need to go that far to see it. I can probably open up a copy of The Sun, the Daily Mail and The Daily Express to see an editorial or letter from a reader practically say the same thing verbatim. Maybe if it's the latter two papers they'll be even more brazen with their prejudice and wonder why we can't just simply send in the Navy to sink migrant flotillas in the Mediterranean.

Also, someone should tell this fucker that Europe isn't a single entity with a sole, coherent, identifiable culture.

So... when is America going to start evacuating the nation and leave all that land back to the Natives? I mean, this is where it's headed, if he's so sure that any culture that came to a land from another land should just go back to their original land, right?

This coming from the president of a country FOUNDED ENTIRELY by immigration. Immigration in which the native people were pushed out of their land.

I mean... my head fucking hurts

The Sun news paper, not surprised if it is. The fool brushes over the wars by his predecessors which created this situation, these refugees would happily go back if their homelands were free of war, indiscriminate bombing and lawlessness left by these failed attempts at regime change.

Always hilerious to see him demonise people looking to escape torture and death given the history of immigration to the America's.

The point is that Europe needs to get it's shit together as well. Countries are following the same sort of path and pretending it isn't happening or getting defensive about it isn't helping anyone.
