This is like the final scene of the penultimate episode of a TV season.
I think it goes in hand when Trump said "Russia if you're listening I hope you get the thirty thousand or so missing emails from Hillary's server."
Bots? Probably not. Dedicated propaganda trolls? We're not a small community, and I would argue the gaming audience is the most vulnerable to their sort of manipulation (see: 4chan).
They're doing the opposite in fact. A dozen GOP led states are pushing aggressive laws to purge inactive voter rolls and they've been a-oked by the Supreme court. They know a completely fair election system countrywide would be the end of them, so they have to cheat.
I want to say one thing - just like the majority of America does not walk with Trump, not all Russians are down for the bullshit going on in Russia.
We need to direct our ire properly - at GRU and Putin directly, not Russia as a whole.
Just like we hope that other countries understand this administration is not the rest of America.

I actually work with a lady from Russia who's been here for the last three years or so and she's really great, but she definitely has bought into all the Russia propaganda over there. Like, most of her beliefs are so exactly on with the stereotypical Russian state propaganda, it's crazy. I feel bad though because she's been trying to process everything that's been going on and it's created some major dissonance. A lot of the people over there just really don't know what's going on and just want to believe that they're good people. It's unfortunate how much the people in charge have been failing all of us so badly.
Trump made his infamous "Russia, if you're listening..." comments around 11am eastern time. That's 6pm Moscow time. There's a reason Mueller made sure to say the attempted hacking was done 'after hours' on the 27th.
(to be clear since I've seen people mix this up - that's the first time they tried going after those particular accounts. They, of course, had already hacked the DNC and others)

I am also a manager of two very smart people, one from sonora and one from mazatlan, I've decided I'm going to HR and saying that political views shouldn't be expressed in the office, and presenting her with an SOP immediately that covers it…. Hardly anyone reads that shit anyways. It'll go through.

That seems very contingent on which political views HR is receptive to, but best of luck. Blanket terms like that are usually code for allowing one accepted view over another.
I think many would agree. However, after seeing the shit show that was the Strzok investigation, among the other unfortunate decisions the majority party has made in the past several months, I've got zero confidence anything will be done about this until the current administration and Republican Party are out of majority office.
This upcoming midterm might just be one of the most important midterm elections in US history.

What will happen if somebody competent tries to destroy our democracy down the road? I'm literally more concerned about that even while having major concerns right now.

So, how long until Trump pardons those 12 Russians because the US justice system treated them so unfair, especially since Putin confirmed that they are totally innocent.
He hasn't pardoned the already indicted oligarchs.
He will pardon zero point zero Russians at any time in the near future because that's admitting (accepting a pardon is legally an admission of guilt) that they committed crimes against the American people by tampering with the election and he has to pretend that his election was legitimate.
Note that not only has he not pardoned the oligarchs, he hasn't pardoned Manafort or Flynn.
He'll hand out pardons like candy once they hit Don Jr. and Ivanka and at that point he's fucked.

I also harp on people for saying she wasn't exciting enough to vote for (lol did you see her clearly unstable opponent), but I never found her particularly engaging to listen to either.
