You're getting Baloon Fight with online play next month, how are you not pissing yourself with excitement?
Mario Galaxy would be nice but there would be no point in porting an older version of Mario Kart that's inferior in every way to Mario Kart 8.

It would be a waste if they aren't. I never expected Switch to be able to emulate Wii games at >HD resolutions but if since Nvidia Shield can... impressive stuff.
Why is the "lap" word in the upper-right corner of the UI (near 1/3) replaced by a parallelogram?
I think people are impatiently waiting and begging for the GameCube/Wii emulator...that is running Galaxy and Kart Wii and stuff on the Nvidia Shield in China...to be released on the Switch so we can buy/play all GC/Wii games on the Switch through whatever VC type service they plan on implementing.
This isn't really about people begging to play Mario Kart Wii on the Switch right now..
Because they want to have other games from the Gamecube/Wii library available on Switch. Which this emulator should facilitate.
How has Nintendo not brought these ports to Switch yet? They look so good and it'd be easy money.

They are not ports. They are being emulated. But yes hopefully they will be offering the same to Switch owners in good time.
I don't think expecting everything on Switch is all that reasonable.
But expecting Nintendo games on Switch is reasonable.
The Gamecube and Wii library is far bigger than just MKWii, dunno why you'd ignore all the other games.
Have you missed all the people clamoring for GCN/Wii/ ANY type of VC on Switch? When the games people want as a VC game on Switch are actively being emulated with enhancements on a system extremely similar to Switch, of course fans are going to be annoyed and want them on Switch as well.
It's not about Mario Kart Wii. Super Mario gamaxy and Twilight Princess were also already emulated on the shield in this manner.
I swear they better bring this emulator to the Switch and start releasing Gamecube and Switch games. Metroid Prime on the go is all I need really.
It's more just the fact that there are these hd ports of wii games, not on the switch.
Is the Mario Kart series even popular for speedrunning? I know it is for individual races, but I don't believe complete runs are as popular. The Shield's improved loading times are not important for the former.
Are you really asking why people would want emulated HD versions of Gamecube and Wii games on Switch?
