Why was the feedback thread erased from existence?

So, as you guys may know, there was a feedback thread, however it didn't last as long as intended. Fair enough, I can understand the mods/admins thinking that it was getting out of hand and wanting to close off discussion. However, for some reason the thread in its entirety is gone now. Does that mean all of our suggestions are lost in time? Or were they at least taken into account?

since the link shows a permission error rather than 'thread not found' I suspect it's been moved into a mod/admin-only subforum

I saw it while it was around, it seemed to become a dumping ground for anyone who was upset with moderation, a lot of it not justifiably so, and it just looked unproductive.

I'd like to think that someone realized that responding to criticism of moderation with "keep this up and it'll get worse" is a bad look but I'm sure it's not.

You're not wrong that a lot of it turned into people complaining about their bans and other unproductive stuff like that, but there were a lot of good answers provided by moderators that it would be nice to be able to refer back to over time. As it is, those answers can't be seen by any users ever again.

Receiving feedback is hard for most people. You could tell mods weren't happy about the way the discussion was going.

The intent of the feedback thread was to only have it open/visible for the weekend, at which point we'd take the information provided and use it to update our policies going forward. The thread isn't erased, we still have it in our moderation forum so we can analyze the feedback and adjust our practices going forward.

We're working on a way to communicate the answers provided in thread in a digestible format in the near future.
