- Join the Discord if you like, usually some good banter going on throughout the day!
- ResetEra players DO NOT have a specific centralized guild, server, or faction. However, the communities serve as a workable stand-in if you want to play with people from Era -- I have also just opened a new Discord channel for people looking to recruit or be recruited to guilds that might have Era members called #guild_recruitment
- If you're looking for Classic WoW discussion specifically, I made a new channel/role in the Discord for that just this morning. You'll find everything you need to get setup with that via the general link hidden above.

Is there a ResetEra guild I can join?
- NO, Not really, at least. There is no dedicated ResetEra guild that has ever reached a critical mass, and there likely never will be. WoW predates ResetEra alone by over a decade (not to mention other antecedent forums), so the community here is pretty well split between factions, servers, and regions with many entrenched in other social circles.
- Transfer fees alone are high on the list of discouraging factors, even if a single server and faction could be agreed upon. Another huge factor is the divergence in motivations - people who play only seasonally wouldn't necessarily mesh well with those that dedicate(d) time to play long-term and have gotten used to grouping with people at the higher echelons of play, for example. [Not that apprenticeship or mentoring is discouraged -- it's a core tenet of any community(!), but everyone involved has to be in an appropriate state of mind with the right motivations.] Honest Inquiry can appear ignorant, and Constructive Criticism can seem harsh to those not ready for it.
- If you are looking to play/chat with people from Era, I recommend hitting up your appropriate community and joining the Discord server. The Discord has specific looking for group channels as well as a guild recruitment channel for those interested, you might need to take initiative and speak up!
- #HOWEVER, we might do some more organization for Classic WoW or any related developments with legacy/progression servers. Personally, I, the OP, am committed to too many other things at the moment to dedicate time to leading a ResetEra specific guild filled with flaky players, even if I wanted to. I've had more than my fair share of experiences turning unexpected allies into cutting-edge Mythic raiders, and trying to herd a ragtag bands of misfit cats before sometimes failing to finish out a tier in Heroic in a timely manner, if we even kill the final boss. It's a LOT of work either way.
- If you don't intend on raiding, finding a good guild might be hard. I would suggest looking on your realm forum first in that case (e.g. Area 52 realm forum: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/1180550/)
- For those intending to raid/interested in raiding, there are a few places I would check before anything else:
1. https://www.wowprogress.com/ - look either on your server or not for guilds of the progression level you're interested in. Contact them or apply through whatever means they supply on their blurb.
2. https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/1011639/ - Main guild recruitment forum (NA - there's a EU equivalent as well.) Either make a post yourself, or search through guilds looking for people.
3. https://discord.gg/vN2sWsB -- WoW Recruitment Discord. Read the rules/pins to get proper roles and either search for guilds that might fit, or make a short message advertising yourself.
4. https://www.reddit.com/r/wowguilds/ -- Official WoW recruitment subreddit. Stuff is posted there all week, plus there's a nice spreadsheet of guilds looking for people in one of the top pins. Additionally, on /r/wow, there is a weekly guild recruitment post that goes up Saturdays which can be used to advertise yourself or look at ads for guilds.
