The article is now deleted (was here) but thanks, Reddit

The action-RPG from Blizzard, which launched on PC way back in 2012 and subsequently released on consoles, will launch later this year. The Switch version, called the 'Eternal Collection' includes the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions plus all the other added content the game has seen and costs $59.99.
Diablo III on the Nintendo Switch will also feature special Nintendo exclusive in-game bonuses: the Legend of Ganondorf cosmetic armor set, Tri-Force portrait frame, Chicken pet, and Echoes of the Mask cosmetic wings.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game can be played in several different ways, including docked or on-the-go.

  • Up to 4 players can play together on a single Switch.

  • Up to 4 players can play on 4 different Switch units wirelessly without an internet connection.

  • Players can also team up online with the Nintendo Switch Online service (which launches in September.)
There will be cloud saving support for the game as well.

Hmm...I'll eventually probably pick this up but not for $60. Already bought it a lot of times. Probably $40 max for me.

Price info was kinda unnecessary...ofc its going to be full price otherwise Blizzard wouldnt bother lol.
Coop multiplayer options sound great though - hope it performs well on Switch.

Instant buy for me when it drops. Have a friend who's never played a Diablo and really want to co-op this with him.

Titan Quest didn't hold me as much as I thought it would due to the poor targeting, but this shit will be my jam. It is so good with a controller.

I'd buy the shit out of this if I hadn't played this exhaustively on PS4. I'd say this is a must for people who enjoy couch coop games :)

I gave up the first few months it was released on PC, during the whole auction house debacle, has it improved dramatically since then?

Holy crap someone goofed up!

Still, YES! I kept putting off playing Diablo III but this sounds like the perfect time to jump in! Especially with all that Ganondorf content!

This exciting to me mostly because it might be the first of many Blizzard ports to Switch, but the $60 price tag is a bit high.

That Ganondorf looks cool.

I honestly have no idea about this game other than its genre and developers so I'd definitely be jumping in blind. Never really played any game like it really.

Will probably give it a try finally with this version.

That exclusive content will probably get some newcomers to try it. I've never played the series (maybe the original for a little back in to the day) but this seems like the kind of game a lot of people would double-dip on for the portability alone.

Seems like something that should be $40.

Don't think so. Diablo III is one of the most complete and replayable game of our time. Blizzard deserves all the bucks for it. Not only is the base game massive, but the expansions and all the updates for the past few years really made this a must have title. 6 years later, it's still a joy to get into it.

Add the Nintendo cartridge tax and new console tax to this and $60 is a reasonable price. It'll go on sale for $40 anyway.
