Yes I agree
In fact I was talki g about the first half, up until Mario tennis first and Octopath then

Yep clearly June with Fortnite, Hollow Knight, the Octo Expansion, Paladins, Minecraft, Mario Tennis Aces, the DK expansion, Wolfenstein II, Crash and Ys VIII provided a strong boost and a great line-up of games in various genres.

July followed suit with great games and August will probably be the less busy month of the rest of the year. September /October are already packed and we are still waiting for Nintendo to unravel their full Q4 line-up. November in particular is still quite empty (it was the busiest month last year).

Yes, second half seems way more balanced

Its impressive too because the Switch is far more expensive and the 3DS probably had a better release schedule for that period. They had:

Resident Evil Revelations + Kid Icarus Uprising + Fire Emblem Awakening + Mario Tennis for Jan-June 2012

verus

Kirby + Mario Tennis + DKC: TF port + Bayonetta port mainly for Jan-June 2018.

I believe that year was also the peak year for 3DS shipments , so Switch is comfortably staying ahead of the 3DS with no price cut, no huge releases in 1st half 2018, versus the 3DS' peak shipment year.
Awakening was 2013 in West, 2012 in JP btw
