I think it was more that we have a significant number of new players and it would be not-hard to manipulate folks into a turbo under such circumstances.
I would agree if that had at all been articulated but as it is it comes off as either peeps tryin hard to look concerned for towns sake, if not people panicking at someone they dont want lynched about to be lynched.

Yea, it could be a trap but if it is melon goes down the very next day. It's a suicide move if it's a trap, unless the Splinter hate is beyond epic I'm not sure why melon would make this play.
