thanks for the replies, that's kind of disappointing even if i don't personally worry too much about 60 fps

knowing that it's a bit iffy with performance tho just makes me a bit worried cos my pc is getting old

i'm in no hurry to play it so that's ok

yeah, those lines are great, wish there was like 5x as many

also every one of those pervery minigames in yakuza strike a weird middle ground in between very self aware, very funny but also very creepy that i'm not entirely comfortable with

well i guess that's japan for ya

So looking at free-to-play games. Do you keep them installed to have them in your library even if you don't play them, or do you delete them off your hard drive?

Something in me don't wanna delete the Magic Duels, Marvel Puzzle Quests or War Thunders, cause then they'll disappear from my Steam library.

You can hide the game in your library, uninstall it and it will still show up in your Hidden games. That's how I do it with free games that don't get tied to your account.

Tfw you accidentally double click the Steam system tray icon too slow and launch your last played game instead

My frame rate is fluctuating between 60-47fps in Yakuza 0. Is there no way of just capping the fps at 30?

Uh, yea.. the setting to do so is right in the games options.

You can also set it to whatever you want if you change it directly in the .ini
I'm in the game options and I don't see any option for frame rate. Nothing in Advanced either. I am playing in borderless mode. [edit] I've edited the .ini file, I'll see if it helps. Hopefully, I've fixed my audio crackling too.

Also I'm in the start of the game following Nishiki around, and it's incredibly annoying I can't save at any of the phone boxes. This is stuff that makes me quit games, and I don't play games that often to begin with. Ugh. I just did the karaoke game and loved it, but I hope it lets me save my game after he has eaten, cause I gotta get up in the morning.

I have a younger cousin who can't work yet that I'm sharing my steam library with. If I play in offline mode will that let him use my library more freely without getting kicked off?

When did this happen? VA were always behind all others in latency, did something change?
If you mean response time, they still are.
Panels used in GSync are way better than other models though. Nothing near TN, obviously, but other than extreme G2G transitions, you shouldn't notice much of (or even any) blurring.

Do these specific pixel response times also include processing latency? Usually these sort of numbers aren't really relevant for gaming, they're more a measure of the ghosting / artifacts that you see lies about on every single panel's specs (i.e. response time if you read it on the manufacturer website).

VA always had better image quality than IPS, but traditionally were too slow for gaming and really just optimal for gaming. I could understand if they're putting VA in freesync / gsync displays that the numbers might be getting fine though.

You'll never convince me TN is acceptable for gaming though, at the very least IPS will always be better than that, unless you're legally blind with corrective lenses as well as color blind.

Total display lag for the monitor I have: 6.71 ms
The screen showed a total average display lag of only 6.71 ms as measured with SMTT 2. Taking into account half the average G2G response time at 3.3ms, we can estimate that there is ~3.41ms of signal processing lag on this screen which is basically nothing. This is fairly typical result from a G-sync screen and there are no issues here at all for gaming.

So in the last month-month and a half since I've had this gpu I've finished exactly....1 game in the backlog (Ryse). Most of this is because witcher 3 is so damn long. I think I've passed the 90 hour mark and I'm just now nearing the end of the main story which still leaves both DLCs to do.

Once yakuza kiwami 2 comes out in about another week that begins the season of a bunch of a new shit to play. Almost 3 months of nothing new and I've accomplished next to nothing in that time.

I've had a look through future release, some interesting stuff coming up if people want to write something up.

Last one might be this month in most timezones.

Some ideas for Tizoc 's thread as well.

Oh, someone has already made a recommendation for Dragon Quest XI? I guess I'll write one for Pathfinder instead.

Also, Insomnia The Ark is September to? Welp.

Saw in my friend feed that one of my Steam friends bought Hentai Girl. I checked what it is and yup it's another trash game with too many achievements. 3000 to be precise. Several achievements get unlocked when you complete a level...

I am also quite sure it might have stolen art like all those kind of games that were reported before (like Hentai Puzzle) but still havent been removed.

Its just strange to see that real devs/pubs of visual novels need to wait for the approval, because Valve apparently is working on some age-check whatever thing, but those games release every few days. That Oppai Girl game even has uncensored hentai art from what I read. The storepage shows "Preview images cant be uncensored"...

Are we ready for Sunset Overdrive on PC? And Ubisoft will have world premiere announcement tomorrow so who is cheering for Splinter Cell?
