Normally yes, but we knew she had a religion gift, so she could have waited and it would been completely believable.
If Melon had only claimed the Zeke kill and then stalled on the cop check that would have been believed because as we said Zeke was killed by a town.
The other mystery for this phase is how did the others die. I kind of understand Muffin in that he was town read but unlikely to draw any sort of protection. DCPat could be an SK kill or could be the mafia going after the religion winner. But if they are going after the religion winner then why not melon? And even if they think melon is just bluffing, if scum had a roleblocker they definitely use it on melon.
So are we in a mafia with 2 kills world or there is an SK world?
Due to flavor/theme, I suspect there's an SK (Faceless Man/All men must die type of fellow). Could be Splinter.

Ok just got caught up. Splinter is guilty as hell, I see no reason to unvote at this point, and yes I'm fully prepared to vote Melon tomorrow if Splinter is town. Even if Splinter is neutral I'll probably side-eye Melon a little bit just because we'd still have no confirmed scum kills.

I will say as a point of comparison Splinter sounds a little different than in HvV with his wild fake claim but I still fall on the side of resolving the red check first.
By revealing the cop scan at the day's beginning, discussion is stunted for the whole day. If she waited a bit, she could have seen how people would react to a splinter lynch push.
Role cop is not that convenient of a claim, unless you're referring to the fact that it's not particularly townie. If you're gonna claim, though, give up the whole goods.

Please explain how we would accept a mid-phase cop check because it was a religion gift. I ask because I sure would not accept that without some explanation.
