This thread is a testament of how horrible job Geforce did at communicating what their new GPU is and what it can do.

Yes. It has a playable RTX demo here.

Just speculating right now though, as we have nothing outside of this article to base anything on.

Oh yeah, absolutely, we don't have official benchmarks but it doesn't bode well. Like many have said before, the marketing of the card is focused on ray tracing and the results we've seen from TR are not flattering for a card thats asking $500 more than the previous version.

I don't doubt the card is going to perform well with RT turned off, but then you have to consider just how much better is it going to perform for the extra $500 its asking of you.

Given the information that has come out that contradicts the conjecture in this OP, this thread is closed. There will be more threads for impressions and benchmarks.
