walking the streets at night.

I'll be hearing this live on Saturday :D

Is it just one of the perks of living at the bottom of the world or has a lot of stuff by Italians Do it Better been removed from Spotify?

Catching up with the thread, there's some really good stuff in the last few pages.
"The City's Reject" by Maniac was one of my favorites, great track!

Love this remix:
MNYNMS - Oracle (FM Attack Remix)

Oh my, how did I miss this thread. Can't wait to delve into it when working, and hopefully find some new artists to explore.

Saw Dance with the Dead and Gost last night in LA. I'd seen Dance before and I knew they'd be awesome but holy shit Gost really impressed. He had a great show all around.

I thought I'd share this track. I think it fits this thread.

I needed some high momentum music for the kickstarter trailer for the game I'm making, Cozen Servo. I'm not entirely happy with the guitar bit at the end and I will probably change some of it. I'm really liking it though, it is certainly full momentum.

Thats great game trailer music my man! What did you use to make it? You play synth? I wouldn't worry about the end if you plan just on using it for the trailer. You could even fade it out or do something similar to what you did at about the 2 min mark. Great work tho!

Thanks dude. It's all made in Studio One with soft synths, I record most of the notation with a crappy midi keyboard.

I've actually changed the ending now to be more consistent with the rest of the tune. I replaced the soundcloud file so the new version is on the same link.

Glad you liked it.

Nosgoth, Leviathan
Several bands, including The Midnight, have come out repudiating any alt-right fans. This is really just a case of Nazis trying to co-opt something cool, not the other way around. Synthwave is all about good vibes.

Addendum/disclosure: I'm an admin for the Synthwave Vinyl Collectors Facebook group, a large community that supports the scene with a lot of money spent. We have no fucking space for Nazis or alt-right BS :)

Some European racist group was using Perturbators music in something a year or so ago. James and Blood Music shut them down really quick.

Never Stop... it stopped.

And they're back. Love the addition of the guitar to the FM-84 tracks btw.

Edit.. I love The Midnight... but just like the show is SF, Tyler just doesn't seem like a great singer live...

Love some good synth backed music.

I highly recommend The Guest soundtrack if you haven't heard of it, many great songs, especially the main theme from Survive (two of the members are responsible for the Stranger Things theme).

Also highly recommend taking a step back in time and listening to some great synth heavy bands.

So, I was just listening to some new synthwave releases and I stumbled upon this: https://futurecityrecords.bandcamp.com/album/ep-1

I listened to the first track and it immediately sounded very familiar. Sure enough, after comparing it to the track Pest Control by Dream Fiend I came to the conclusion that it was heavily 'inspired' by it.

Compare for yourselves. Listen to Dream Fiend's track first:

Now, listen to Run's track MM.1.12: https://futurecityrecords.bandcamp.com/track/mm-112 (sorry, no Youtube link yet)

This is just blatant plagiarism, right? And on top of that it's released by Future City Records, so it's not just some random no-name indie release.

EDIT: And the track SUN7 sounds suspiciously like Waveshaper's Crystal Protocol.

Still recovering from last night's show, such an amazing experience and it blows my mind this was the second-ever live performance for both bands!

One unexpected surprise: FM84 performed "Outatime" off the Los Angeles EP, now with Ollie lyrics!

Does the aggrotech genre fit for this thread? I think many here would like it, but I apologize if it's not the right fit for this thread.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who mentioned FM-84. I don't think I'd come across them before, and was after something along the lines of Timecop 1984 and The Midnight, especially after The Midnight's latest album was..... well, its ok, but it doesn't ever top Jason and Comeback Kid from Endless Summer.
Anyway, I think tomorrows commute is now sorted. Cheers guys!

Not a big fan of the distorted screaming (I realize this is a part of the genre), but man I love the production. The alien clips are incredible, lol.

Thank you for this

Carpenter Brut just announced a new album and tour.

Check out Brut's Facebook for details. The tour starts in March, so I'd expect the album to drop at the same time.
