idk are we sure john is even in this game. arthur is likely the john in this one the main character. he seems more like a leader than dutch
what? John Marston is in the game, he's been in trailers and used for promotional material.
Dutch is the leader of the gang. Arthur is the lead enforcer and Dutch's right-hand man.

Anyway, while I was replaying Redemption I remembered that there was some kind of a boat (the big yacht ones which I am not sure what is called) heist that went wrong back when John was in the gang. I am willing to bet that this heist is the same one we find Nastas in that mission.

If you have a PS3 buy it used for cheap. They just rereleased it for Xbox One / 360. Also this is a prequel, so outside of some Easter eggs or references, you've missed nothing.

Every year. Rockstar has always attended when they've got a release. I got the Max Payne 3 info from there once for GAF and we got GTAV details too.
I just finished replaying Red Dead Redemption and I am hopping we might get a continuation of Jack's story now. There are tons of potential due to the introduction of cars and planes due to the WW1 (which would be cool to see in a Red Dead game).

New Austin back further corroborates again the Trusted Reviews leak. Also interesting is that the Edge magazine has 5 stars on a red background and we now know the game has 5 states, I guess that confirms the next issue.

New Austin being in the game makes a Redemption 1 remake (something like Yakuza Kiwami based on Redemption 2 gameplay) more likely to happen.
So it's clear September will bring us part 2 of the gameplay trailers. Marketing overall is really different compared to their previous games though. I don't mind it but that much is clear.

The basically confirmed the leaks which mentioned Redemption 1's map being in the game.
Now we only need confirmation of Mexico...
Rockstar teased 31 pieces of merchandise coming to the warehouse, one of which was a 3D metal train which in the description made mention how the train transported passengers in the game to the locations of Ambarino, New Hanover, West Elizabeth, Lemoyne and New Austin.

It will be really cool considering we play as a bad guy this time. I never felt like I belonged there while playing as John. Jack kind of fit there considering he is still learning and felt more like a criminal.

Are you sure? I was under the impression only John didn't go there before.
I assume the gang will go to New Austin/(Mexico as well if it is in the game) after John is left to die by the game.
